February Goals

Last month I wrote about my January goals. Today I want to share my February goals and also what I accomplished on my list from January. I love the idea of having that in my blog because it’s a great way to stay accountable!

February-Goals

For January I wanted to:

Read 8 books: I read 6 so I feel pretty OK about that!

Go to the gym 6 days a week: I did that! 2 of the weeks I went 7 times.

Have 2 date nights with Andrew out of the house: We went out to dinner twice! Go us!

Focus on needs instead of wants more: I struggled here because I wanted to buy some new things for the cruise. Better luck next month!

Double my blog income from last January: How about triple it? Yeah I did! If you ever want help growing your blog and making more money from it check out my course all about making money from your blog.

Write one blog topic I usually do not discuss: I opened up a lot in my letter to my 18 year old self post. But I still want to improve here.

Try 3 new meals to add to our weekly meal rotation. Well I made zoodles for myself. Andrew made Lo Mein for us and we have been eating it weekly. It’s a very healthy version. So 2/3 not bad.

All and all I think I did really well with my January Goals.

For my February Goals I want to:

  1. Read 10 books. I upped this because we are spending a week on vacation and I tend to read a lot more on vacation.
  2. Make something for Andrew for Valentines Day. I did this our first year of dating and while I do plan on buying him something fun I also want to make something for him.
  3. Try 2 new meals this month that we can add to our rotation. Being gone for 9 days kind of makes our month seem even shorter so I really want to make sure we are trying new things.
  4. Open up more on the blog. I have a few things going on I really would love to talk about but I am not sure now is the right time.
  5. Submit a few posts to Huffington Post to be potentially published.
  6. Focus A LOT more on NEEDS not WANTS. After the cruise this should be easier.
  7. Spend some quality time with my grandparents.

Do you have any February Goals you want to share with me? I would love to hear them!

I’m also trying to read a lot this month! Hopefully will average out at about 1 per week, which is just about do-able!

I’m also right there with you on learning to cook a few new dishes. I’ve just gone on a bit of a cookbook binge, so there’s at least some inspiration to draw from!

Aww, yay for a chance to spend quality time with grandparents! I live so far away from my grandparents that I really treasure time like that! 🙂 10 books sounds ambitious, but just about perfect for a vacation month!

Great goals! Do you have your book picked out yet? I think 10 is very reachable. But then again I am a bookworm and I read everyday. LOL This will be a month of opening up for me as well! Happy February!

Love your goals! I also need to try a few more recipes to add to our rotation. We sometimes get stuck in a rut and I’m sure it gets boring for my husband. Way to go on the 10 book goal! If I can read one in a year, I feel like I did something! Ha!

  14. Those are some great goals! I’m so amazed by how many books you can read in one month! I’m such a slow reader but I’ve been reading while I walk on the treadmill each morning and then listening to audio books while I’m at work.

I’m sharing my Feb goals tomorrow on the blog but since I’m going through a big break-up in a new city where I don’t have any friends, my goal is to make some friends! haha!

Also, yes please, blog growth! haha (for both of mine) 😉

  24. Wow! You accomplish so much in one month! I’m hoping to work more on goals like this post grad school (less than three months to go). I try to create goals on a monthly basis that are attainable, but sometimes I still fall short. I’m realizing that it’s okay to take a break from having too many goals. Between blogging, being a full-time grad student and working, that can be a little much on its own. My consistent goal is to make time for myself and what I love meaning reading, writing for fun, time with friends, working out, etc. I’ve been trying to do that several times throughout the week in order to stay balanced! Loved your list!

  25. I always read a lot on vacation too. My goal for the month is to figure out what’s best to focus on for writing goals right now. Should I shoot for a word count goal or a time goal? I find that it’s different with every writing project that I work on.

    Great job!

I love having monthly goals too – last month I vowed to get back into being healthier and going to the gym- I have been going once a week consistently since january 1st, so that’s a good start~! And have definitely been eating healthier. I also wanted to drink less wine LOL didn’t work out so well…. better luck this month. I started school and began working on some new, big goals and i was more consistent with my blog.

For february I want to be even more consistent with my blog and with networking. I would love to reach 70 followers and 200 FB likes- which seem so tiny I think I can do it! I also want to spend way less $ and put money aside. Good luck with your goals!
