Happy Friday friends! I have not done a Friday five post in a long while so I thought since Andrew and I are winding down our Anniversary trip I would share a Friday five of things I am excited about for the coming Fall months!
1. K&W wedding: My brother in law and future sister are getting married in November and I am soooo excited! We have their couples shower coming up next weekend and lots of other fun events for them. We love them so much and can’t wait to celebrate.
2. State Fair: Last year I didn’t make it to the state fair for the first time EVER! It was around the same time as our wedding and crazy schedules just didn’t allow it. This year I am going twice to make up for it 🙂 If you have never been to the state fair you are missing out!
3. Taylor Swift: Ashley is coming in for the weekend in a few weeks for us to go to Taylor Swift AND the above state fair. Plus lots of food, girl time, shopping and singing in the car. I love my best friend so much and we don’t get to see each other too often. We have quite the concert history though. This will be our 5th one to go together and the memories are always amazing!
4. Our anniversary! Which is in 3 weeks. We are wrapping up our anniversary trip right now but we still have tons planned in Dallas for the actual day. I am really looking forward to cake. I won’t lie!
5. Cooler weather: I live in Texas. It’s hot here till like Halloween. I am ready for cooler weather and all the things that go along with it! Football games, fire pits, cooler walks in the evenings, lots of outdoor patio time!
What are you excited for this Fall?
My life is a little confusing right now, I live in Michigan, so as you know, it gets crazy cold! Buy my husband and I just sold our house, bought an Airstream trailer, and plan on working remotely and traveling. The only problem with the plan is that he hasn’t found a remote job yet… lol
So, what am I looking forward to this fall? I am looking forward to my husband finding a new job and us heading somewhere warmer!! I can’t wait to experience winter in other places around the country. It will be a whole new experience.

I feel you on number 5…Arizona is the same way and I am craving some cooler weather! Having your best friend in ton is absolutely the best, but going to a TSwift concert together has to be the best thing ever! Hope you enjoy the rest of your anniversary trip!

I am excited to go pumpkin picking and walks in the woods to see the leaves. I’m trying SO HARD to convince my husband we should go to the Bayfield Apple Fest because I love it, but he hates it because he generally hates people and this brings in thousands. It’s SO crowded that you can hardly move at all in this tiny town but it’s always a fun time. He’s just a big grump. HA!
I so want to go to a Taylor Swift concert! And a George Strait one too. Would you believe I’ve never been to a concert?? So glad you’re getting to hang with Ashley! Miss her posts. Happy weekend to you and eat fried Oreos for me at the fair! 🙂
Being a fellow Texan, I am also looking forward to a bit of a cool down. At least the evenings and mornings are more tolerable now. But when that sun comes up it doesn’t take long for the thermometer to hit 90 or above. In the Hill Country we are a little cooler, but not That much. Sounds like wonderful wedding plans.
You have so much fun stuff coming up! I’m looking forward to my oldest’s 6th birthday party, going to a pumpkin farm, and trick-or-treating. Love Fall!

I am a fan of TS too and I am so bummed I did not get to watch her … I love fall for the cooler weather
I live in Upstate New York and it’s already clearly Fall here. We’ve been having outdoor fires, cooler nights, the leaves are all changed and falling. It’s gorgeous. This is my most favorite time of year! (you finally get cooler around Halloween and we usually trick-or-treat in snow! Crazy how different our states are!)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fall, I am super excited for a Corn Maze this weekend and buying some pumpkins 😉
