Recently I came across ThomasKelly which for a workout junkie like me and also someone who works from home and spends 90% of her time in lounge wear I just about died when I saw their website! Seriously the most precious clothes. I loved that the colors were more than just blacks and whites and that they were very girlie. I also loved that I wouldn’t feel embarrassed running to the mall wearing these clothes or even meeting a friend for brunch.
First a bit about ThomasKelly then I will tell you about what they sent me that I am currently living in hehe.
It began in the summer of 2009 during a walk around Santa Barbara when the conversation turned to starting a business. The original idea was to create a clothing company that would feature the preppy style we fell in love with while attending college on the East Coast. Our plans, however, were placed on hold since we were in the midst of planning our fall wedding.
It was not long after our big event, when the idea of starting a clothing company again resurfaced. Kelly was in the middle of spinning class when she had an “Ah Ha” moment. It was clear to her that activewear clothing should be preppy! It should have more bold prints, bright colors and offer classic designs to be worn anytime, not just during a workout. Kelly explained her idea to Thomas, and soon after the concept to take preppy from exercise to errands was born.
I was sent the Balero Boyfriend Cardigan I love this because not only is it great to pair with the other two items I received BUT I wore it with skinny jeans and flats to a movie the other night and it was JUST as cute with that! How great is an item that functions as something to wear to work out and run errands and something you’d wear to a movie or dinner?
The Malaga Mix Top This is so perfect for Bar Method class! You have no idea. If any of you do Bar classes or run this top would be great for you because it doesn’t move and its just snug enough so you dont feel like the girls are gonna bust out. Plus Navy Gingham and Pink ruffles? Umm yes please!
And The Ladera Leggings I live in workout crops…LIVE IN THEM How could you not love Navy leggings that have gingham cuffs? They are sooooo cute and I got so many compliments on them when I wore them to class the other day!
All three of these look great together or mixed with other things I already own which is one of the things I love so much about the ThomasKelly collection. Their items are so vertiste and really speak to women. They aren’t the same thing everyone else has on and I love the bird logo maybe a little too much 🙂
