My Ideal Morning

I have written posts about productive mornings and why you should have a morning routine, but sometimes it’s nice to day dream about what my ideal morning would look like. Sure this is completely possible to have and it’s nothing crazy, but life happens and sadly not every morning can be this perfect.

My-Ideal-Morning-o

First I would wake up early because I am not someone who likes to sleep in. I am the epitome of a morning person. Because in my ideal morning I got exactly enough sleep the night before to wake up feeling very well rested. (A girl can dream right?) I would wash my face and brush my teeth along with the rest of my morning skincare routine and get dressed in workout clothes. Always my fashion preference. I would eat some breakfast and since I have nothing but time on this ideal morning I would make egg whites with spinach, turkey bacon, and wheat toast. YUM.

I would go take a barre, yoga, or spin class first thing, because getting my workouts done first is the best. I have the most energy in the mornings right now so I always try to get a good workout in.

I would then come back home and make some coffee because yes I can have one a day while pregnant. Lately I have been putting more tummy friendly things in my coffee. One thing I really love is the Silk Vanilla Almond Creamer. It’s especially great when I am making my coffee at home and I love the taste it gives it. It feels like such a fancy treat even though it’s so easy to make. I love the way having a hot cup of delicious coffee and the ability to sit in a quiet room reading a great book can make you feel. That would be another way to have my ideal morning: coffee and reading. BLISS. Silk creamers are really delicious and I highly suggest trying this Vanilla flavor! AMAZING!

I would sit down at my computer and write a few blog posts because yes my ideal morning does involve me doing a little work. I truly love blogging and feel so blessed that it’s my job, so working on weekends or even on a day I have planned just for me I still love it.

After getting some work done whilst enjoying my coffee I would set out and go get a manicure/pedicure and then get a smoothie and head to see a movie alone. One of my favorite things to do for me time is see a movie by myself. Usually this is a chick flick that Andrew has no desire to see. But for me movies alone are just bliss.

By this time it’s probably time for lunch so my ideal morning is over. However, I know I would feel refreshed and reading for the days ahead.

How would you spend your ideal morning?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Silk. The opinions and text are all mine.

  3. I would spend it with a walk outside, followed by coffee because it’s essential and my favorite breakfast. Then I would blog, read and take my time getting ready for the day!

I would sleep in until 7:00 am, go for a nice long walk. Have brunch and probably watch a old movie.

Your ideal morning sounds pretty much the same as my ideal morning, except I might swap out the coffee for some coconut water.

Sounds perfect. I’m a morning person too. I would rather wake up before everyone else and enjoy my morning coffee in peace and quiet. Ps I have been wanting to try the Silk Almond Milk coffee creamer but haven’t got around to it yet.

  30. I get up early in the morning not because I want to but because I have to. I have pretty much the same routine as you and it takes me 2 cups (or shall I say, mugs instead) of coffee before I am ready to start my day.

  32. I wish I were the type to workout shortly after getting up, but I need some time to wake up. 🙂 I’m a night owl, so I”d definitely sleep in a little if I could, although I don’t like to sleep too late otherwise I feel really unproductive.

  35. Having a bit of a normal morning routine really does help me be way more productive for the entire day. I enjoy getting up before the rest of the house to get started and get a few things accomplished. I also have to have my cup or 2 of coffee!

I’m learning to be a morning person. This is always a work in progress, as I certainly am not and have never been an early riser. However, waking early does give me time to plan and puddle around trying to wake myself up and gather my thoughts. My ideal morning is me waking up early, enjoying my final moments of silence, coffee, journaling and devotion and just peace before the day begins! Great piece

LOVE that morning. I prefer milk in my coffee, so lately I’ve been using the Sill Unsweetened Coconut Milk.. coconut coffee is my new favourite thing.

My ideal morning involves a run, followed by a long hot shower, and a leisurely breakfast (ideally outside at a cafe somewhere… coffee, fresh croissant, scrambled egg and some fruit). Then some work for the blog followed by some errands
