3 Reasons To Listen To Audible Channels

I have talked before about my love for Audible. As an avid reader, being able to listen to an audiobook as I drive, clean, workout, or even work is great for me. Recently Audible introduced Audible Channels. Audible Channels, is a new service from Audible that provides on-demand listening to original audio series, plus playlists handcrafted for every interest and refreshed daily, drawing from news, comedy shows, articles, talks and more! I want to share 3 reasons to listen to Audible Channels that you may not have thought of!

3 Reasons To Listen To Audible Channels

You can listen anywhere: You know what is NOT fun? Traffic. You know what else is NOT fun? Airport delays. The great thing about Audible Channels is that you can listen to them anywhere. It’s not like streaming TV where you need WiFi. You can listen in your car, at the airport, or on a flight. Heck you could listen on a beach! I am a big fan of listening at the gym. Recently I have been OBSESSED with the Audible Channels new series, Ponzi Supernova, hosted by Steve Fishman. If you are someone who is really interested in current events this is the series for you. It takes a deeper dive into the real story behind the biggest Ponzi scheme in history. You will be fascinated as journalist Fishman explores the financial system with Bernie Madoff as the guide, using never-before-heard audio conversations with Madoff himself. It’s so fascinating to me. I remember following the story so closely.

Makes regular tasks a bit more fun: Laundry and cleaning can be a bore. So can doing taxes or paying pills. I personally NEED to have background noises such as TV, Podcasts, or audiobooks to do things. That’s another reason I have been LOVING Audible Channels. I really like to listen to it while I am doing stuff around the house, like getting the nursery ready or working out in the morning. I think it makes mundane tasks fly by. Especially listening to Ponzi Supernova which, because it’s so interesting, I didn’t even realize one day I had been on a walk for an hour and a half. I was that engulfed!

You stay informed: Like the Ponzi Supernova series I was talking about before. Throughout the series, you will listen to dozens of new interviews with victims, FBI and SEC agents, attorneys, traders, and financial investors, all of whom offer human details that vividly bring the saga to life. You will begin to learn the thinking and motivations that led to the crime and gain a deeper understanding of the largest Ponzi scheme, along with the story behind it all. It’s a great way to stay informed about things going on in the world. With Audible Channels you can also listen to things like The New York Times, TED Talks, and more.

I hope these 3 reasons to listen to Audible Channels convinced you to try it out!

I would love to know if you have checked out Audible Channels yet or if you plan to?

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Audible. The opinions and text are all mine.

  2. My Mom loves audio books, I’m not sure if she has. I don’t listen to any “talk” channels. If I’m listening to anything it’s usually satellite radio, I can’t listen to most personalities for any period of time.

  3. I haven’t checked out Audible channels because I’m so so behind on my Audible BOOKS! Hahaha 🙂 I have the subscription where you pay monthly for a credit and I’ve already gotten up to 6 credits (the max you can have) so I need to get shopping and reading!

  8. What kind of channels do they have? I tried out their 30day free trial with some books, but would have loved to try something different.

  10. I canceled my Audible membership for the time being because I’m so behind on audiobooks. I decided I didn’t want the expense while I’m playing catchup. But I will rejoin once I’m caught up and I’m excited to check out some of their channels once I do!

  11. I need to start listening during my day more! I’ve been having Netflix on in the background a lot, but that is a bit too mindless. Audiobooks and podcasts would keep my brain engaged more I think. Thanks for the nudge!

  12. I love audio books and podcasts. It’s something nice to listen to while driving AND just while lounging around the house… You totally don’t have to look at a screen and can focus on doing so many other things while listening! Love this post.

I had tried out Audible before but cancelled it. I may have to look in to it again in the future. I def agree being in traffic is the worst, so having something to listen to (other than music) is always nice.

I really need to get into podcasts more because what I currently do is play YouTube videos to listen to in the background while I’m doing other things. But the point is to watch the video, haha! So I would definitely benefit from a podcast/Audible Channels.

  24. I actually haven’t tried Audible. The time when I could feasibly listen to an audiobook (driving, housework, working out) is actually when I listen to my podcasts.

  26. I didn’t know about Audible channels until today. I LOVE that you don’t need to stream, I don’t have a lot of data on my cell phone, so when I’m out and about, it would be very useful to have.
