Happy Monday friends! So I am one of those crazy people who LOVE Sundays. I really love the idea that Sunday is the day to get things ready for the week. When I have a productive Sunday I know I’m going to have a great week. These are 5 things to do every Sunday that your future self will thank you for! Plus, with Direct Energy’s Free Power Weekends you can be SUPER productive without worrying about your electric bill going nuts!
5 Things To Do Every Sunday
Meal Prep: I feel like this starts with grocery shopping. We grocery shop every Saturday. First we plan our meals for the week and then we make our lists. We get everything we need and then we meal prep. I usually do a HUGE slow cook of BBQ chicken (I use the a sugar free BBQ sauce that’s ZERO WW points!) Win! I use this chicken during the week for salads, sandwiches, and just to have as part of my lunch. We also make smoothie bags for the week, and hard boil tons of eggs to also have for salads, etc. Nothing like a stocked fridge to start the week off! Plus doing all of this meal prep on the weekend means free electricity to do it all!
Start Clean: Laundry, a clean house, clean sheets, a clean desk, a clean car. You name it I like it clean on Sundays. Going to bed with all of these things clean and organized makes me feel awesome. No worries!
Check Your List: I always have a week long to do list and then a to do list each day. I keep this list in an app on my phone and make sure when I go to bed on Sunday nights all of my lists are ready to roll. I add to them during the week but man is checking items off a to-do list fun!
Workout: We have a home gym, well it’s half of our play room haha. But NOTHING is like a Sunday workout. I used to take Sundays as rest days, but now I love a good Sunday workout. Doing a Pure Barre DVD at home or 30 minutes on the elliptical. Plus I’m not using up our electricity bill because FREE POWER WEEKENDS! Thanks Direct Energy 🙂
Take Time To Unwind: On Sunday nights we like to curl up on the couch after we put Liam to bed and watch a movie or catch up on DVR shows. During the week we are so rushed after we put him to bed, so Sundays are our night to unwind and relax together with the TV and a weeks worth of shows.

This tool personalizes your energy experience by providing you with insights into your home energy usage. You can see how much energy you used every day, and what that meant for your electricity bill, as well as which appliances in your home used the most energy. Plus, the Direct Your Energy insights are sent straight to your inbox as Weekly Usage Summary e-mail. From week to week, you can see if your home’s electricity usage went up or down, and make
