Beauty Products Perfect For Travel

We had quite a bit of travel this summer to see family and to go to Chicago with Andrew and Liam! I have really tried to scale down my travel beauty arsenal since we have a baby that requires a TON of stuff and because I have a lot less time to primp. I have narrowed my list down quite a bit and I wanted to share what I use in case you, like me, need to pare the travel items down! Plus you know weight limits on suitcases and all. No need for my 10 lb bag of makeup!

Beauty Products Perfect For Travel

First of all I can’t use hotel shampoo and conditioner. It just dries my hair out. I also really love the idea of argon oil spray which I use, but I found a way to not bring that and still get the awesome effects of it! Enter the Herbal Essence renewal with Argon Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. I am usually all about travel size products, but taking an extra few minutes to put this in a travel container is so worth it. Not only does this stuff smell amazing but it makes my hair super soft! Perfect for travel because my hair does crazy things in other climates.

For makeup, I really don’t wear a ton right now. A light foundation, mascara, and lip balm tend to be all I need. Baby Lips lip balm has always been a fav and if I lose it, the price point doesn’t take as much of a hit. The Covergirl clean matte foundation is such a great one! It gives a full coverage without being too heavy and overwhelming.

My skin is where I do not pare things down. I love makeup remover wipes for travel, though for getting the first layer of makeup off my skin. These Olay ones are awesome! They are newer to me but I am loving them so far. I also really like the Olay moisturizer. The sizing is perfect for travel and it works great with my skin. I also love the Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel Cream. I have been using this for about 2 years in the warmer months. For some reason it just works better on my skin when it’s warm outside, which it will be in Texas for a lot longer! So light and so moisturizing. Perfect after a day outside.

Of course I add a few other items in here and there, but these are ones I have found great for travel. Plus, if I forget them I can easily grab them in other cities.

Do you have any beauty products perfect for travel? I’d love to have more suggestions!

  1. I usually just use travel size products. Also, I totally agree with going light on the make up but not skimping on skincare!

That makeup bag is so cute. I’m a fan of minimalist makeup right now, especially when traveling. Nothing worse then bringing a bunch of beauty stuff then never using most of it.

  4. Love your makeup bag; too cute! I brought Evian Facial Spray (the small one) with me to London and it was great because I walked around a TON. For facial wipes, I like the YES TO Cucumber wipes.

Olay makeup remover wipes are the best! I don’t buy them for everyday use, but do enjoy them when I do have the money to splurge.

I agree – I am usually not a fan of the hotel shampoo and conditioner. Makeup removing wipes are another must-have for me! I haven’t tried out the Olay ones before. I will have to give those a try!

I am obsessed with makeup wipes for travel. I’ll have to try the Olay brand. I’m sure it’s a lot more budget friendly than the brand I currently use.
