Best iPad Apps

I am someone who lives by my iPad. It is either in my purse, with me on the couch, or by my bed. I’ve had a few, but currently I have an iPad mini 4. If you are looking to purchase one the mini is an awesome size. For reference this is the case I have and it’s perfect and comes in A TON of colors! I get asked from time to time what apps I have on my iPad, and what apps I use a lot. Today I am sharing the best iPad apps and guess what! They are all free!

Best iPad Apps

Texture: I have talked about Texture many times. I have been a user since it was Next Issue, and I love the idea of spending $15 a month for unlimited magazine subscriptions. Having it on my iPad is great for travel, or waiting for meetings, Dr appts, etc.

Kindle: Like Texture, I love to have this for reading while waiting, traveling, or in bed at night. It’s the best of both worlds. The idea of a Kindle but on your iPad.

Netflix: Not too much to explain, but if you have a Netflix subscription for sure make sure to have the app on your iPad. Great for time waiting in airports!

Google Drive: I keep most of my blog info (finances, photos, editorial calendar, etc) in Google Drive, so having the app handy on all my devices is necessary!

Dropbox: I use Dropbox for a lot of blog stuff too like my Media Kit and things I share with brands for projects. This way if I choose to not take my laptop I can still get things done.

Evernote: I use Evernote a lot for writing blog post drafts when I don’t have my computer, or jotting down ideas.

HBO Go: Like with Netflix, great for watching shows while traveling. They have older stuff too like Six Feet Under and Sex and the City.

Social Media: Padgram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest: I love having social media on my iPad, but mostly for scrolling and catching up. I find it easier to post from my phone but I love looking at Pinterest and Instagram from my iPad.

I would love to know what you think the best iPad apps are and which ones I should check out! Comment below!

Great list! These are all of my “go to” iPad apps also, except Evernote. I have not checked this one out yet, but will now. Sounds like the perfect app for a blogger on the go!!

Who doesn’t have Netflix for their iPad/iPhone!? It’s great when you’re working out on machines and want something to pass the time! I also love having YouTube to watch videos there as well. Great list, Neely!

Spark for email is on my iPhone and iPad. Tried a whole bunch of apps but seem to stick to this one. Outlook I guess comes second. Keepass has been my password manager for years. Can’t have better security when you database and program are separated. I keep the database file in Dropbox so it sync across all my devices even my dust collecting BB Z30. On a daily basis my most used apps are: Spotify, Netflix, Fantastical, WP office, Paper my Hue app and Safari.

Oooh! I’ll have to check some of these apps out. I use a few of these on my phone but I bet it’s better quality on an iPad. I hate zooming in and squinting when I look at things on my phone!

These are some of my favorites for when I’m traveling. DropBox is such a lifesaver when I need to continue working on things away from home.

I don’t have an IPad–maybe some day. My Mom does have one and I will suggest a couple of these apps for her.

Netflix is my most used app but I’ve heard wonderful things about evernote. I usually just work on blogs using wordpress but I might need to look into evernote! Thank you for the app ideas! I’ve never heard of the unlimited magazine subscriptions… that would save so much clutter…
