December Goals

The last month of the year… I can’t believe it. It’s time for December Goals! This was the first year I wrote monthly goals on my blog and I am really proud of myself for keeping up with it every month. I do have a post about my 2016 goals and what I accomplished coming up but today I am reflecting on November and setting my December goals. I really hope to continue these posts in 2017!

December Goals

December Goals

In November I wanted to….

  • Read 5 books. It’s a busy month so that seems realistic. I read 3. It was a crazy month with the election, my first baby shower, and Thanksgiving!
  • Get most of our pre-baby house list done. we did get a good chunk done! YAY!
  • Write thank you notes from my first shower, which is in less than 2 weeks. Accomplished. They were in the mail 2 days after my shower.
  • Pass my glucose test. I PASSED! Also the red fruit punch drink is super gross. So glad I don’t have to retake it!
  • Get 10 blog posts written for February (his due date is early Feb). I got 7 done. I have the graphics done for everything so thanks Andrew!
  • Start getting tax stuff together for January. Nope!
  • Start my holiday shopping and try to get most of it done. I have purchased a few things but nowhere near done.
  • Have at least one date night with Andrew. It was a crazy month but we did go to a wedding so that counts right?
  • Spend more time with my parents. I see mom once a week, which has been great but I need to spend more time with my dad. With Thanksgiving and a baby shower I got to see a lot of my family this month.
  • Make a point to call my grandparents at least once a week. Yes I talked to or saw them every week this month!

In December I want to….

  • Read 4 books.
  • Get the rest of our pre baby list done.
  • Start assembling a few baby related products.
  • Wash all of the baby clothes, towels, and blankets we have so far.
  • Write 10 more posts for February and March
  • Enjoy the holidays without being stressed
  • Cut myself some slack at the gym. I am in my 8th month of pregnancy and I have worked out at least 5 days a week the entire time but I need to rest more.
  • Work on tax stuff.
  • Donate items around the house, food, and take Christmas gifts to the kiddos we chose from the tree.

I feel like these are pretty reasonable!

I would love to know what some of your December Goals are! Share below!

  8. I love that you’re able to get so much writing ahead of time! That’s seriously goals for me. I can get a week or so ahead, but it’s hard when I aim for every post to be at least 500-800 words if not more! LOL Good luck with your goals!

  11. I love goal setting. I usually do several big goal posts in January each year so that I lay out my strategy in each category. I just finished looking back at 2016 to write my upcoming post for how much I accomplished. I’m a firm believer of setting and reviewing goals every month. Great job on getting your February posts almost done!

Go girl and congrats again! I have so many goals for December but the #1 is to recover from my injury. Health before anything.

I really haven’t made any goals for any month. Well…. maybe one goal would be to be less busy. I can’t keep up with the housework. I blame it all on my Hubs since he likes to travel so much.

Wow. You’ve done a pretty good job with your November goals! What books did you read? I usually read 3 ave a month but last month only did 1 (Girl on the Train and only bec I love Emily Blunt). And holy cow you work out more than me lol. So this month…I need to rethink blog strategy and other stuff for 2017. Maybe. December is always hard – too many things going on!

Love that you make these goals! With every pregnancy I did the same, trying to get things all squared away before baby came it was so helpful. I sort of lost track after delivery though. I can’t believe you already have 7 posts for February, I don’t even know what I’m writing tomorrow yet! Good luck with your goals this month!

  30. Great job on your goals! You did better than I did! Definitely take it easy at the gym – rest is just as important as fitness. I had to learn that the hard way after I got off bed rest – but you have to take care of yourself too. 🙂 Best of luck with your December goals!

  40. Your November was much more successful than mine haha I’d say mine was a train wreck. But it must be so exciting to be so close to your due date! I’m only at 15 weeks so we still have plenty of time although I’m already starting to get stressed about our never-ending baby to do list. I’m hoping to get started on it this month 🙂
