Holiday Bucket List: Babies First Christmas

Happy Holidays friends! As a first time mom this holiday season feels extra special. There are so many things I always dreamed of doing with my own kids. Now that I have Liam and he will be 9/10 months old during the holidays it’s such a fun age. He looks at everything in awe and I can’t wait to experience the holidays with him. Today I am share our holiday bucket list for babies first Christmas:

Holiday Bucket List: Babies First Christmas

  • Visit Northpark Santa that I saw growing up (we did this last weekend)
  • Decorate the house (we did this as soon as Andrew let me)
  • Drive around Highland Park to look at lights with hot cocoa
  • Take him to see “the bears”
  • Northpark trains
  • Pancakes with Santa at the fire station (we did this last weekend)
  • The big tree at the Galleria
  • Matching Christmas jammies on Christmas Eve
  • Baking cookies for Santa
  • Opening one gift on Chriastmas Eve
  • 25 books of Christmas in December (we started this on the 1st)
  • Christmas jammies every night
  • Reading The Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve
  • Monkey bread on Christmas morning
  • Holiday music ALL THE TIME
  • Adopting a family for the holiday season (done and done)
  • Take holiday baked goods to neighbors/friends/Liam’s NICU nurses
  • Start one new tradition we can do every year
  • Watch Liam enjoy the magic of Christmas time

What are some things on your holiday bucket list?

Aw! This is sweet. 🙂 My bucket list is pretty simple this year because I have a lot going on, but I do really want to go on one of those Tacky Christmas Light Tours — we have a couple in RVA and I’d like to finally take advantage of one. 🙂

  9. How exciting for you – Christmas is magical especially Baby’s First Christmas !! Your son is at an age that he will love the lights
I used to Live in Dallas and have fond memories of taking my boys (now 28 and 32) to Highland Park and also Interlochen in Arlington, TX. Merry Christmas & enjoy every minute of Liam’s 1st Christmas

  10. This year is my third’s first Christmas. She is only a few weeks old, so next year we will do more. But she has been tagging along to do all the other holiday things with my older kiddos!

  11. I love this! I imagine having a baby around Christmas is the best – I know holidays are more exciting for me when I’m around my nieces and nephew (and I will be this year, so yay!!) I’d totally do the 25 books of Christmas if I ever have kids!

My only real goal at the moment is to get everything finished before Christmas Eve. This year, I want to spend that night with my family instead of wrapping and cleaning and whatever.

Sounds like so much fun! My son is almost ten months old and I am so excited for his first Christmas. I’m starting a tradition of him doing all our Christmas cards, so we’re using edible paint and he’s ‘decorating’ them all for me. We’re starting tomorrow morning! I’m wanting to take him to see the Christmas lights and to a Santa parade, but I think we’re busy when all the main events are on. Suck! I will definitely have to borrow some ideas from your list though – they are great!

  14. I always set the goal of decorating the house and then there never seems to be enough time to get everything done. Hopefully I will at least get to put a wreath on the door.
