The topic today is holiday traditions and activities! I figured I would share a few of my favorites holiday traditions from years past!

Our favorite activities include going to look at Highland Park Christmas Lights on Christmas Eve with hot cocoa. We always spend the entire month of December watching holiday movies especially Home Alone 1 and 2! Our favorites! We also go to Alamo Drafthouse each year to see the Home Alone Quote-Along. We wear our Christmas Jammies on Christmas Eve and to open gifts the next morning. We decorate the weekend before Thanksgiving. My two favorite ornaments are my engagement ring box that Andrew turned into an ornament (we got engaged a week before Christmas) and our yearly ornament with the year on it! Lastly we get A LOT of red cup drinks from Starbucks together all holiday season. My mom and I always see a movie together Christmas Day. Andrew comes if it’s a movie he wants to see. We have Beef Tenderloin for Christmas dinner and I look forward to that ALL YEAR!

Here are a few pics from the past two years!

  3. Awww those are some really awesome traditions. I love the little things in life that turn into traditions and make holidays more memorable. Both my kids are adults now and have chosen this year to throw all their childhood traditions out the window and start new adult traditions. Change is a good thing. We’ll see which ones last and which ones come back from the past.

We also have a similar tradition. Each year we add a new ornament to our christmas tree. We either buy a new one or make our own that reflects on our year. XO Happy Holidays
