Morning Routine For 2017

One great thing about a new year is new routines! I better enjoy that while I can right? Baby should be here VERY soon! I did want to share my current morning routine for 2017 as a lot of things have changed recently! I personally love seeing other peoples daily routines! Something so interesting about a peek into someone’s life!

Morning Routine For 2017

First of all I am not a late sleeper. No matter how tired I am I can’t sleep past 6:30. I usually get up, look at a few things on my phone, and then I’m out of bed.

After taking my medicine, and making our bed I head to the bathroom to wash my face and do my morning skincare routine, I then apply belly butter (gotta do it) and brush my teeth!

Then it’s time for breakfast and blog emails. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Not only does it get you going but it kickstarts your metabolism. A great breakfast is the difference in my day for sure. Lately I have been having a bowl of oatmeal with fruit as well as a protein shake! Yes that’s a lot but guys I have a growing baby boy cooking, he has to eat! I have been using the  New Burt’s Bee’s™ Plant-Based Protein Shakes in +Healthy Radiance to try out. It comes in Chocolate and Vanilla (so something for everyone) and is super easy to mix with your liquid of choice. I really love blending the powder with a little ice and some water.  It takes a few seconds and tastes great!

This combo really fills me up in the morning and makes me feel like I’m getting a great amount of protein to start my day. Burt’s Bees™ Plant-Based Protein Shakes are made with 70% organic ingredients, certified organic by CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers). The shakes are also non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free and made without artificial sweeteners or flavors. Even the tubs the shakes come in are made with 100% post consumer recycled material and are fully recyclable. (Note if you are pregnant or breastfeeding please be sure to consult your physician before use of product).

I also check and respond to blog emails while I eat breakfast as well as share my blog posts for the day on social media.

After I’m finished with breakfast and cleaning up the kitchen I get dressed for the day. Lately this has been workout leggings, a t-shirt, and hoodie! So stylish right? Whatever it’s all I feel comfy in haha.

I’m still trying to workout as much as possible so this is also when I either head up to our home gym or head out and go for a walk depending on the weather.

After I workout, it’s back to doing more blog work until lunch! If I get hungry during the morning I try to have fruit, popcorn, or a green smoothie! The Burt’s Bees Vanilla protein powder tastes awesome in green smoothies!

What is your morning routine for 2017 like? I would love to know!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Burt’s Bees. The opinions and text are all mine.

I am not a morning person by nature, but I’ve been really trying to change that, especially with having a toddler and another on the way. I’ve been looking for some kind of protein shake to try in the mornings to get me up and going, so I’ll have to try the Burts Bee’s one you referred to.

My morning routine consists of getting a 10 yr old ready for school first. Next comes my 5 yr old as well. In between hearing them giggle and complain. I get them off to the bus and then I have two hours that I eat breakfast and check my blog emails and post on social media. I then head off to work and repeat again the next day.

I love taking a peek into other’s routines too! I have been wanting to try protein shakes, thank you for sharing the ones you like. Since having my daughter I have become a morning person but I don’t have that one thing that’s routine other than our rush out the door each day. haha. I think adding a cup of hot tea or even the protein shake would make a nice difference 🙂

  19. My morning routine is always the same.
Alarm goes off, go to the bathroom, come back to bed. Lay in bed for 5-10 more minutes while I attempt to wake up the sleepy husband. Get up and go make coffee. Sit down at my computer and open up e-mails. Go through e-mails. Make second cup of coffee. Finish up blog post that I started drafting the night before. Publish. Wash dishes. Husband comes in to start breakfast. Then I go off to get ready.

(That’s IF we don’t go to the gym. If we do go to the gym, things just happen a lot more rapidly!)

Sounds like a great morning routine. Mine has been to wake up at 7:30, take the dog out, eat breakfast, work on blog/biz stuff until 10, go to a gym class, come home and eat lunch and then start my client work for the afternoon.

  27. I always love reading about or watching morning routines. 🙂 My weekday morning routine is usually a rush to get ready, because I don’t wake up too long before I have to be out the door. Sometimes I take my makeup with me if I’ve really pushed how long I stay in bed. (It’s a problem… it’s not even like I hit snooze a lot, because I sleep through my alarm… my natural time to wake up is around 8am, which is when I wake up when I’m off work, but I have to get up at 5:30 or 6, depending on if I’m driving or taking the bus.) And then I take a breakfast wrap with an egg and veggies on-the-go.

I have to be at work super early in the morning, so I’m usually scrambling to get clothes on and get out the door. I’ve recently started drinking a protein shake in the morning so that I have some kind of breakfast. While I’m liking mine just fine, you’ve got me really wanting to try this one!
