We love the idea of meal planning and really try to stick to it. However, sometimes we are so lost for what we are feel like eating. We know we want it to be something simple we can make after the baby goes to sleep and not involve a TON of prep. Enter Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits! Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits are a new line of fresh, seasonal dishes with prep-prepped ingredients. Available for purchase in your grocer’s meat section – no subscription required. This is a whole new way to meal kit! It really is the answer for busy families.

The Answer For Busy Families

This is the perfect meal kit for us! We can get them as we need and buy them along with our regular groceries each week! The meal kits are available at Target stores in Dallas now, and I mean who isn’t at Target at least once a week? They may be found in the meats section and there are SO MANY to choose from. The first one we tried is the Herbed Chicken and Farmstead Veggies. This fresh, seasonal meal kit includes pre-prepped fresh veggies, all-natural pre-marinated meat, chef-created sauces and seasonings, and a perfectly paired starch. Each kit also comes with an easy to-follow recipe card. We love the idea of meal kits but with a new baby, a busy job, and Andrew’s work schedule who has the time!? While meal kits have been all the craze, let’s face it – sometimes they can be daunting. Especially if you are super busy like we are!  Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits were created for people who are passionate about food but are short on time. With the prep taken care of, people can focus on the best part – cooking. Meals go from fridge to table in 45 minutes or less.

The process was really easy. The instructions are there so it’s fool proof!

  • First we cut up the potatoes and put them in the pan with a little bit of butter until they were done (put to the side).
  • Then you put the veggies in the pan with a little bit of butter and sauté till done. Then put to the side.
  • Next, put the chicken in the pan with butter for about 10-15 minutes until done.
  • Lastly, plate the ingredients, top with roasted tomatoes and enjoy!

Then you are ready for a delish meal!

The menu for Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits changes with the seasons so there is always a fresh new culinary adventure to try. The current meal kit menu includes these four delicious offerings:

Citrus Rum Glazed Chicken – Island spiced rubbed chicken thighs, a citrus rum glaze paired with sweet mini bell peppers and pineapple salsa and a side of cilantro-lime rice.

Tuscan-Style Pork Loin and Pork Belly Pasta – Tuscan-Style pork loin and pork belly paired with gemelli pasta, zucchini and red onion tossed in a light white wine beurre blanc sauce and topped with shaved parmesan.

Herbed Chicken and Farmstand Veggies – Lemon-herb seasoned chicken breast paired with a blend of carrots, cauliflower, green beans and red potatoes in a roasted garlic and herb compound butter.

Carne Asada Street Tacos – Tender strips of steak seasoned with a chili-lime blend paired with picked red onions and zesty salsa verde, complete with a side of charro beans

Tyson Tastemakers meal kits can be found in your grocer’s fresh meat section for $19.99. Each kit is 3 servings.

These look pretty tasty. I wonder if other companies will start picking up this sort of model, it’s like a subscription box without the commitment.

I hadn’t heard of these until now. I love that they’re not frozen, they’re actually fresh and the meals sound so good. I can definitely see myself divulging in these when I don’t feel like cooking. Thank you for sharing!

For the families were husband and wife both are working, its tough to manage few things. And this frozen food concept is really nice. It saves your time.

Looks delicious. Wish we could buy these here! Haven’t seen them in any stores but I love the idea and that the veggies are prepped for you. This would be especially handy after a long work day, like today!

Now, this might be something I can actually cook! I’m always struggling with trying to cook healthy for myself and end up eating garbage. I’ll have to check this out. Thanks.

That sounds so cool! As someone with not a whole lot of cooking expertise, this sounds like a great way to get in the kitchen more!

I’d love to try the Pork Loin and Pork Belly Pasta! I’ve seen these advertised and really would love to try them! I’d been wanting to try a meal prep kit, but the online ones include so much packaging waste that I’m hesitant to order so an in-store option is perfect!
