Get Your Love of Reading Back With Scribd

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scribd.

I love to read. I always have. I remember trying to use books as a way to stay up late when I was little. I would tell my parents “But I’m reading so I can stay up later.” Somehow they bought it. My love of books was born in the most organic of ways. I had a teacher who had this insane library of books. We were allowed to borrow them one at a time. She noticed that I was borrowing 2 and 3 a week and would let me take home more than one on weekends. Then started my obsession with the book store. I would bug my mom to take me every week and buy all the chapter books I could handle.

I still read a lot and trust me there are nights I stay up till 3 AM because I want to finish a book. I look forward to airplane flights or long car rides where I am not driving for the same reason.

As I have gotten older I still love reading but the time I used to have to read for free is slowly dwindling away. Tracking Pixel

How many of us love books? Probably a lot of you. How many of you get so tired of spending a ton of money on books or being on that wait list at the library for the book EVERYONE is talking about that you must read too? Or are you so busy with work, kids, errands, and life that you never have time to read? What if there was a service where you could have unlimited audiobooks and enjoy the love of reading you remember having but you can sit in traffic and wrangle kids and errands at the same time. That’s where Scribd comes in. It’s like have a million books without the price of a million books. Scribd’s subscription price is the lowest on the market at only $8.99/month. To try out this service for FREE, activate a THREE-MONTH TRIAL using THIS LINK.

Plus how great would this be as a Holiday gift for a friend who loves to read? I mean really this is the kind of gift anyone of any age would love to have!

Sounds like a great idea. My grandson is in second grade and he is really into reading and being read to by his mom. He gets points for the books he reads, so he loves a challenge.

I tried Scribed, but I really am more of an audiobook person. I do like that they have a lot of options–especially compared to another service that I tried. I had next to nothing!

  4. I was the same way as a kid about staying up late to read. And still do that now…I think just one more chapter, and before I know it, it’s way past midnight! I have never tried an audiobook before…it would be something good to try on our long car trips that don’t have a lot of radio reception.

  6. I am more of an old-fashioned book kind of girl, but with these prices it sure is tempting to look into it! I might need to join the modern world and actually bust out my tablet that has been used…oh…once in a year. 😉

I’m a book lover, too! My mom and my first grade teacher instilled the love of books in me when I was a little girl. This sounds like an awesome deal and I need to check it out. Just between you and me, I usually spend more than that each week downloading a new book. Thanks for sharing.

This is a great deal for those that can afford another monthly payment. I use my local library for free which has thousands of books on tape as well as regular books. The library even has a downloading service now that goes directly to my Kindle.

  11. This is very cool! My husband is a voracious reader (more so than I, and I was an English major in college), and relies heavily on our local library (he hates my obsession with Barnes & Noble). But we live in a smallish town, and often he does have to wait for good books (or even convince the library to consider purchasing them!). I want to get this for him, but fingers crossed he doesn’t commandeer my iPad for good!!
