My fabulous friend Meghan hosts a monthly linkup where people can discuss how they are doing with their current goals. Made me realize that I haven’t looked at my 2012 goals and resolutions in a while. I figured it being the beginning of May, now would be a good time to check in.
2012 Goals/Resolutions
They are categorized cause thats how I roll
Me:
Lose about 8 more lbs: I am down 4 lbs, this has proven quite hard as I am at a perfect weight for my height and age but I still want to lose a bit more.
Save up more money for the future: Uh about that
Pay down student loan debt I start paying this July 15th and I am ready to get this going!
Secure a teaching job BOOM DONE as of last Thursday!
Have consistent freelance writing jobs: I have had 2, I’d love more!
Attend Pure Barre retreat in Denver: At 1100 dollars for 2 days this is just far too unrealistic
Blog:
Make it more of my business(goal eventually is full time blogger/freelance writer) So far this year I have had some incredible opportunities
Have sponsoring be successful for both the bloggers/shops and myself for me yes for them I sure hope so!
Grow my network I have 400 more followers than I did when I made these resolutions/goals so yay!
Attend Blissdom CHECK!
Look into attending Blogher I am instead attending Bloggy Boot Camp Dallas
Relationships(family, friends, Chad):
Constantly work on Chad and my communication we work on this daily
Spend more time with my grandparents still working on this
Have monthly dinners with Dad and Caryn I have monthly and sometimes twice monthly breakfasts/lunches with my dad. I prefer that.
Go on a girls trip(not blissdom) NYC in May and Austin with the bestie in June yay!
Take a vacation with Chad We are planning that now
Have another 4 seasons spa day with Michele We went to pampered soles and got pedicures for my birthday that counts right? Oh and I had a 4 seasons spa day by myself 🙂
Have dinner with Dallas blog girls at least once a month Check Check! Wish I saw them more
Random:
Read all the books on my kindle about half way through this task but I have purchased so many more
Purge what I dont use/need Did this! Purged over 10 trashbags full of clothes and such and sold a bunch
Volunteer more, and with Chad Major Major slacking here!!!
So I feel pretty good with the progress so far. I have a teaching job, C and I are doing great, I spend lots of time with family and friends and I have been working hard on personal goals.
All in all I say 5 months in not too shabby 🙂
Things I want to also work on that are not included here:
Continue to work out 6 days a week divided into 3 days of strength(Pure Barre or Body Pump) and 3 days of cardio(running or biking).
Have no phone/tv time with Chad at least one hour a night. Where we just talk and spend time together. We suck at this.
Learn to like red wine
What are your goals? Resolutions?

YES! Learn to love red wine! This is my favorite:) I would be happy to help with this in NYC.

These are some pretty good goals. You’re doing great! Glad things are good between you and C. 🙂
Sounds like you’re doing a great job! I feel like resolutions are tricky because right after you make them you want to do them ALL right away and when you can’t, sometimes you forget…ha ha. So a check in is a great idea!

MMMM, red wine is the best. But then again I drink the really sweet stuff…so maybe that’s why I like it so much.
