First of all today I want to wish a very very happy birthday to my momma!!!
I love you mom you are one super fabulous lady!
So apparently I never posted about Chad and my trip to Fredericksberg over New Years.
Oh well 2.5 months later here it is 🙂
on December 29th C and I left Dallas and drove 3 hours to Austin to have lunch!
Then another 1.5 hours to F-berg!
The drive was super fun as all of our roadtrip drives always are. Lots of sillyness, chatting and singing.
Finally we arrived and checked into our little cottage
C was a little tired from the drive
Nevertheless we got all spiffy and headed out to dinner for night one
After that we were pretty exhausted and crashed
The next morning we got up early and headed out to try a fun breakfast place
Whole wheat and banana pancakes …YES!
Also finding a latte was interesting. No starbucks in town and no restaurants had them….Java Ranch to the rescue…for $7 a day…YIKES!
Then we got all dressed and headed on our wine tour. On our tour were 3 other young 20 and 30 something couples so it was actually really really fun. I loved our tour guides and we were in this limo bus type thing which was great! We went to 5 wineries and out to lunch. We got back at 6:30 PM and to say we were both drunk and exhausted would be an understatement….pizza for dinner!

The next day was New Years EVE!!!
We started the day with breakfast and a latte. Then we went to the spa and had a couples massage and pedicures. After that we had lunch at a brewery and did some beer tasting!
We spent the afternoon walking around main street where I kept unlocking badges on foursquare. Then we spent some time in our private hot tub relaxing. Then we got all spiffy for our fancy new years dinner date!
Yes we posed for 99 pictures before dinner…we had drinks haha
We came home after dinner and set off fireworks(gotta love being in the country), drank champagne, played scategories and watched New Years Rockin Eve. Don’t judge this was perfect for us and exactly what we wanted! We are too old for crazy new years!
Woke up on New Years day with NO HANGOVER! Went for a crazy 7 mile hike, at a big breakfast, showered and crashed for 4 hours! Yes 4 hour nap!
When we woke up we got dressed and met up with my sweet friend Katie for dinner.
The next day sadly we had to leave 🙁
The thing I miss most is our hot tub, we had our own hot tub on our porch and it was perfect for 2 people. We sat in it daily and it was sooooo relaxing!
I loved our trip 🙂
On the way home we stopped at the San Marcos outlet mall and I did not buy one thing 🙂 Go me!
