Every Thursday my lovely co-host Amber and I will be doing Its Ok Thursdays a blog hope where you can justify the weird, normal and awesome things you do cause ITS OK!
So…. Its Ok….
To want to punch people in the face virtually when they piss you off
To hate the 33rd day in a row of 100+ temps
To plan a trip down to the minute 5 months in advance
To already be shopping for said trip
To kinda hate the twit some days
To be READY for the summer to end
To be terrified of student teaching
To fall asleep after drinking a Venti Latte
To really miss having lemonade stands and riding your bike barefoot through your neighborhood
To hate grocery shopping with children and sometimes think they should be banned from grocery stores or there should be some kind of child sitting service while people grocery shop
But other than that to love grocery shopping
To loathe exchanging clothes
To think blog cliques are lame….yeah I said it
To really regret that decision to not wear your retainer in hs after the braces came off
to quote Blake Shelton “To call up momma when all else fails”
What’s your “Its Ok?”
LINK UP WITH US!!!

I am over summer too! And don’t worry about student teaching; I’m sure you’ll do great!
Even though I am secretly mad at you for doing this awesome link-up on Thursdays, I still love you! You are going to ROCK student teaching, btw!
And AMEN. You know what I’m talkin’ ’bout!
I love your list! I just stop looking at the twit when it gets too crazy! I don’t mind shopping with McK, but as we have discussed, she is the golden child! Haha 🙂
I was an education major. I think the real reason I switched majors was because I was terrified of student teaching. That’s a big regret now!
Oh the Twit drama – I think we all wanted to quit at some point or another this week.
Don’t be nervous about student teaching, you’ll be great!
So loving the blake shelton quote. So true!
UGH I really wish I hadn’t lost my retainer! : ] You just made me think of that. Loved this post and link up! So so so much.
gah blog cliques are so lame…and you’ll be fabulous for student teaching! if you need any help i have TONS OF stuff from when i did last year 🙂
I definitely plan like that for trips even that far away too. And I’m totally over summer– ready for fall!!
I also think kids should be banned from grocery stores! and also from theaters (for non kid movies! I actually read an article about how some places are starting to ban kids 6 and under from certain places!
Thanks for hosting this 🙂
I love your overplanning. Mainly because I’m the same way. Still up for Six Flags? Ya know, when it’s not hotter than the blazes of Hell and damnation?
I think the same thing every time there are kids running around supermarkets. I want to literally smack the crap out of them and the parents because hello??? Make your kid act like a mature one.
I am so with you on being over the 100 degree temps. Fall, please!
I have a daughter and even I wish there was a place for kids at a grocery store to be dropped off… and i am not looking forward to seeing any drama that involved me on the twit— scary = HS
“To really regret that decision to not wear your retainer in hs after the braces came off” Amen sister.
LOVE THIS. My blog has been taken over with an auction (I’m raising money for my brother’s school, which is for kids with developmental disabilities), but I will DEFINITELY be back in two weeks, when the auction is over. I’ve loved these posts of yours in the past. Good idea for a link-up!
There are blog cliques? I feel a little naive. I guess I just avoid it the best I can.
I am still in the beginning of my education program (intervention specialist) but I am already worried about student teaching. I am afraid that I am going to get a classroom and the kids are going to look at me like I am actually supposed to have a clue lol. I think thats a normal fear though because almost everyone I have talked to has said similar things. You will be great.
So my husband told me the other day (and I have no idea if this is true or not) BUT he said that they are trying to enforce a law that for an hour or so each week there is a “no children in the grocery store” rule going in. Who knows but yeah I thought I’d let you know 🙂 This could either be good or bad for me because I ALWAYS take my kids with me (yeah youd probably hate me) so that would suck but this might mean a little free time for momma. whoo!
If kids are being crazy in grocery stores, I want to slap them.
Grocery shopping with children is so hard! Not that I have them, but I’ve done it before. Haha, I’m dreading it when I have my own!
Love this list, hate the heat 🙂
I *LOVE* this link-up, been excited about it since I heard it was coming!
“To really regret that decision to not wear your retainer in hs after the braces came off” Oh, ME TOO! 🙁
Blog cliques?! Really?! Where?! I must be oblivious (which I guess is a good thing?!)
Thanks for hosting this link-up it is MY FAVORITE one I participate in!!! YAYYYY! 🙂

Great list! I actually agree with the kids in the grocery store…since I have 2 under 5 years old. I try to grocery shop without them. They are awesome kids but I want to focus and pick out stuff I want (those M&M’s are Mommy’s not kids).
But, the other day, I had no option but to take them. Behaved great but once we got in line (about 2 folks in front of us), my 2 year old started yelling. Not crying or screaming…just yelling. OMG, I was so embarrassed! Silver lining? Those 2 people in front let me go ahead….SWEET! 😛
Great list! I love this link up! Great turn out this week! I’ll definitely have to join next time! 🙂
Love these posts Neely!! And look at all of the link-ups already! I am going to try to get mine up later this afternoon!!
This is such a great idea, and I love your list. 🙂
Twit drama and this summer heat need to be gone! I LOVE the idea of keeping kids out of the grocery store!! They need a day care center like Ikea has!
I feel you on these but I have to admit I am one of the moms with the toddler going crazy in the grocery store. It’s very frustrating!!

Yeah I definitely didn’t wear my retainer after my braces and my teeth moved like crazy. So I had to get braces on AGAIN in college. boo!
Wow, look at the results you got from day 1. I can’t wait to join in next week with you lovely ladies!
So um..I have never really noticed children being annoying in grocery stores. Airplanes, restaurants.. yes, but never the grocery store. I have always gone at night; maybe that is why.
That being said, I still dont particularly care to go with Colt because its much more relaxing to go by myself.
Beware though….we are moving to the big D, so my kids will be joining the screaming grocery store population!
Also, I cant wait to hear about your student teaching. I know you will be great.
BAH! I totally agree with you on banning children from grocery stores! Actually let’s just send their parents to parenting classes so they know how to discipline their kids when they step out of line!
Don’t be terrified of student teaching! You’ll do great!!
you will be fine student teaching!!! and grocery shopping with kids is the worst! someone should seriously start a babysitting service in the stores!
You will be a great student teacher!! And I thought it was interesting to see who didn’t comment on this post. Just sayin.
I’ve always tried to wear my retainer to bed because I never wanted my teeth to shift!! I didn’t wear braces for nothing!!
Congrats on all the link ups!
I love summer, but August always has me itchin’ for fall!
I LOVE grocery shopping too! And definitely always call up my mama – sometimes even before all else fails 🙂 Love youuuu!
I think children should be banned from grocery stores too, at least during nap time.
Aw I call up my momma too when all else fails.
Love this blog link up by the way. Brilliant idea!
Love this idea, I’ll be participating next week!
