So Chad and I will be celebrating two years together in 13 days! YAY!
I love love love him and since I started blogging 6 months after we started dating there is a lot from our beginning that isnt on the blog…
So here I am today to tell you about our first two dates and our first kiss(fun fact it lasted for nearly 4 hours)
First Date: Chad and I met on match.com in June of 2009. We emailed, gchatted, texted for weeks before actually meeting. The guy would just not ask me out…it was sooooo annoying! Finally I said ” we should totally hang out” we planned a date for Thursday July 2nd…I however canceled said date because I wasnt sure I wanted to meet him LOL. We rescheduled for Monday July 6th and after much probing from friends I went. We met at Main Even for bowling, pool and arcade games. I was early(as usual) and I remember seeing him walk in and thinking “wow he is so much hotter than his pictures!” We didnt have one second of awkward which was great. Fun fact: I paid for our first date but not on purpose! We walked up to get our unlimited $20 pass for the night and I pulled out my debit card both as a gesture and saying Id pay for my half…Chad thought I meant Id pay and I didnt want to argue so I paid. I still give him shit for this!
We stayed at Main Event for about 3 hours then walked to Cold Stone creamery and got ice cream. I insisted I didnt want any and ended up eating half of Chads. We then sat on the back of his car and talked til almost midnight….on a Monday!
I went home that night thinking “yep Im gonna marry this guy.” Not necessarily in an “I just knew” way but he was so sweet and fun!
Saturday night we had our 2nd date….
He picked me up and we went to studio movie grill and saw Bruno…
THe movie was horrible we still joke about it now because it was the worst date movie EVERRRRRR!
After we went and got drinks at a bar my friend worked at then went to my house to watch a movie….
I cant for the life of me remember what we watched…probably because I was just thinking…KISS ME ALREADY!
Our date started at 7 PM and by 2 AM and 2 movies later he still hadnt kissed me. I had an episode of How I met your mother on my DVR so I turned it on…Chads reaction was “Do you really want to watch this?” I said “nope” and he kissed me…like hardcore kissed me. We made out till roughly 6 AM. I kid you not it was fantastic! Yes our 2nd date was 11 hours long….
He left at 6 AM for the start of many nights of him leaving as the sun came up….
This happened for our 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th dates. These were the following Tues, Fri, Sat and Sun….by Sunday of the next week we were official 🙂
Yep kids 13 days after our first date and 6 dates later….Chad was MINE!
Thats how we started out: 11 hour dates, me paying on date one, ice cream, yogurt, late nights listening to the cure and garden state soundtracks as we made out, and more giggles than Id ever had.
I knew it was the start of something special….I just didnt realize at the time how special.
I love you babycakes and I cant wait to celebrate our anniversary in 13 days!

Wish I didn’t have to wake up early those nights to my parents’ place, giving the illusion I just got in late. I love you, sweetness 🙂

Bruno…what an akward date movie. My mom, little sister and husband ordered that on pay per view one Christmas after I went to bed. Talk about awkward…they still laugh about it.
