I got to see a sneak preview of SOMETHING BORROWED!!!!
If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time you should know I adore Emily Giffin and her books.
I read the first four of her books when I was sick in January of 2010 with a horrible sinus infection and then of course when Heart of the Matter came out I got to meet Emily!
Well Last night Laura and I went and saw the sneak preview!
My thoughts: It was FANTASTIC!!!!
I thought they nailed the characters, the casting was spot on, it really kept to the book quite a bit and it really flowed. It was perfect.
I had one complaint but I dont want to give it away before yall see the movie!
Emily Giffin has a cameo in it, so be looking for that. The way they have her in the movie hysterical!
I dont think many people in the theater had read the book or seen the previews because most people seemed genuinely surprised that Rachel and Dex sleep together…gasp!
They really did leave it open for Something Blue which wont get made unless a lot of people see Something Borrowed and it does well! So go see it on Friday!!!!
I really have nothing bad to say about the movie. My expectations were about as high as they could get and I was elated by the movie. Which means you know its good. Im picky especially about chick flicks!
Im totes going to see it again Friday…and maybe Saturday….and Sunday 🙂

I love Emily Giffin’s books! I will def be seeing Something Borrowed. I don’t think the trailer for the movie that they are showing on TV does the plot justice though. You can’t even really tell what the movie is about. I’m a little worried about one thing – someone told me that they merged a couple characters from the book into one character. Is that true??

Yes! I cannot wait to see this! I loved the book and that video was hilarious and yes I have one of myself with a similar song and my bestie..
So I typically hate movies if I have read the book. Usually they change something or leave somethign out that I liked! But I am going to make an exception for this book. Its probably been 5 years since I read it so I think I will have forgotten all the little details. Glad you loved it. What was the one thing that bugged you if you dont mind me asking?

I saw the movie yesterday and I loved it! I bought the books afterwards. I hope they keep making movies out of the series!
