Im talking about Starbucks addiction
About 5 years ago I started drinking latte’sOne day I had a tall
The next day I decided to have a grande
3 days later I had a venti and thats where it all went down hill
I spend $4.06 a day
So $1,481.90 a year…
yep almost 1500 a year when I have 1 a day
Most of the time I get 2 a day twice a week
but a grande so tack on another $378 a year
Almost $2000 a year on starbucks
Sure I could buy a badass $1200 espresso maker like this….
But I love going to starbucks
I like that everyone knows me
When I say Venti nonfat 4 splenda well stirred latte they say “Hey Neely!”
That sometimes they dont charge me because they love me
That I can sit there on nice weekend days and read outside or blog or chill and chat with friends
I love my addiction and I know some of you have it too…

Anyways I just wanted to take a moment of your time to talk about something that I think is very very serious and I hope you all understand why I felt the need to discuss this.
But when/if I ever get married…
Im totes registering for a badass espresso maker…but Ill still prob go to starbucks too 🙂

Ha ha loved this post. My addition is diet coke. But not canned – has to be fountain. Sometimes I even double fist during event season. Don’t judge.

haha what a fabulous post girl- I know it’s difficult to when you start an addiction to try and get out of it- I used to be addicted to Amps in college- I would drink them possibly 2-3 times a week and almost 4 times a week when I had mid-terms/finals to do. SO bad since I then tried to get off of it and had the shakes and headaches 🙁 I eventually am okay now but I know it’s hard once you stop. You can do it babe 😉

I love Starbucks, but I can live without it! I go there 2 or 3 times a month, but I admit that number goes up during the holidays! My addiction is Coke, I have 2 or 3 A DAY! EKK!
I bought the big fancy coffee maker and I still go to Starbucks daily or twice daily! I sold the Fancy coffee maker… Lesson: You cant make yummy coffee at home!

That’s how I was back home with Dunkin Donuts…& if I want one here I have to drive 45 minutes so it kind of helps my addiction not be SO intense..
I have this addiction as well. My husband hates it, but it makes me a much nicer person. 🙂

I feel that way about our local coffee shop (Intelligentsia) and it makes me really sad when we can’t afford coffee or have to go to Starbucks because it’s faster.
I am a coffee addict myself but not exclusively a Starbucks one.
Have you ever tried americanos with a little extra cream and some splenda? They are cheaper and healthier too! I switched to those recently and began craving them verses the other options.
That’s part of our customer service, we promise to get to know you as a person and not just your drink:o) hence the reason I love working there. What’s funny is I get a free pound of coffee a week but when I make it at home it doesn’t taste the same to me, weird, I know. Id rather go drive to work and get one there:o)
The first step is admitting you have a problem lol! We just got a Starbucks, but it’s in Target and they have weird hours, so I don’t get in there much.
I need to brush up on my Starbucks ordering. They can put the splenda in for you? I didn’t know thissss. HELP ME??!!
my boss used to bring me starbucks every morning around 10, it was the perfect pick me up (every day!). i broke that habit when i got pregnant and haven’t had starbucks since…i kinda miss it 😉
Coffee tastes so much better when you can buy it from someone, especially a place where they know me and we can chat. Plus, coffee makes me happy. I say go for it! 🙂
Starbucks is so evil. They put so many wonderful things in their drinks that keep us coming back. Damn them! But, I LOVE them!
I have this same addiction. To the almost the same exact latte! And you’re totally right…it’s not JUST the latte…it’s the experience of going to the same one and sipping it outside while reading a magazine…
We got a cheaper machine ($40 – mr coffee) but I still go to starbucks almost every day.
My husband understand. 😉 He’s a keeper!
I totally get that it’s more about the coffee, the socialization too! I have tried to cut back on sb, but diet coke, now that habit I can’t kick!

Yes, we should start a support group for this. I was spending about as much as you until my husband put a quick stop to it. Now I only get to feed my habit about 2-3 a week. Sad day =(
I’m SO glad I live nowhere near a Starbucks…because I would have this same addiction!
Ahh Starbucks. I had one today to cheer myself up! I def have cut down since getting a Tassimo and make my own Starbucks lattes at home (and they are GOOD!. But sadly they are no longer going to make the t-disc’s. 🙁

I say enjoy Starbucks while you can…you never know when you might loose that luxury. And if it makes you happy then go for it.

I can totally get the “being a regular” thing. I love that stuff too! Starbucks is just amazing. They put crack or something in there to keep us coming back for more.
I say def register for the bad ass espresso machine when you get married.. even if you never use it. It’ll be nice to have. 😉
