My heart is full

Lately I have to stop and pinch myself and say “is this real?” “Are things in my life going this good?” A few months ago I was in a very dark place. I was ending a very bad unhappy longterm relationship  I was and still deal with severe depression, my dad was so sick they sent him home from the hospital thinking he would die, and I hated my job.

Here I sit in January of 2013 Just 5 months later with a boyfriend who treats me better than I could possibly hope for. Working for myself and actually making money at it with a legit company(website coming soon 🙂 ), my dad is going into the hospital tomorrow for his Stem Cell transplant but we know this time is different, this time he will go home ready to be healthy for the long term. My depression and anxiety feel under control about 90% of the time.

Sure I have rough days. I have days where I dont want to get out of bed for no reason. Thats what depression is. You cant mask it. You can work through it.

But I am truly happy for the first time in so long. I really feel beyond blessed.

Blessed for my dads ever improving health

Blessed for a mom who is amazing

Blessed for the kinds of friends I can text, call, email, talk to about anything and everything who just GET ME and at 28 thats more valuable than I can explain.

Blessed by A and our growing and wonderful relationship.

Blessed to own my own company, make my own decisions on what clients I take on, spend my days doing what I love and working so much that it doesn’t ever feel like work.

My heart is full. My heart is so full sometimes I really think it may burst. I look around at my life knowing I will have hard times again, but I wouldn’t change the NOW for anything in the world.

Neely, I am so happy for you that things are looking up.l Bless your Dad for me . Just 3 years ago my Mom got sick and died a horrible death within 38 days, my mentally ill Brother had to be taught everything about life by me and I had to find him housing while I planned her memorial and closed up her house. I did the entire memorial with zero help and did food , flowers etc for 80 people, my hairstylist moved the day before i have to read the eulogy, I went to a new one that dyed my hair clown red! I was terribly ill and migraines, stomach disease and chronic pain were running my life. My other Brother and his shoe obsessed shop a holic wife were borrowing more then I could give and my best friend moved out of the area.l All at once! Then my house was taken over by rodents while my Mom was dying and all my clothes and shoes had to be thrown out. Heartbreaking. Now I say no to my Brothers,am almost finished with school, take care only of me first, my migraines are gone and I have the chronic pain down to a manageable degree most days. I moved to a new house and everything for this year is looking up and on track. I know bad times are going to come again but each time we get stronger and deal better . When life throws us a curve as it will often, we have to be prepared to act accordinly and be strong. Good for you for being strong !! 2013 is our year!
