Something I think we don’t appreciate much is the little moments in relationships. Be it a romantic relationship, friendship, family time whatever.
This past Sunday, we had a funeral for my uncles dad. After the funeral we were all at my aunt and uncles sitting around the kitchen table, watching football, eating what I refer to as Jew Food and chatting. It was so fun even under the circumstances. All of us 5 cousins in one place. Sitting with my grandparents, aunt, dad talking about life, football etc. Talking 12 year old moments with my cousin who is in 7th grade. Eating delish brownies, and just looking around realizing how much I love my family.
2 weekends ago I really wanted some Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. So A went out a got a pint. We then proceeded to eat the entire pint. 1 Pint, 2 spoons and legit spoon fights over the chunks of cookie. It was a funny moment in time where we were both laughing hard and A actually took a piece of cookie from my spoon. I mean who does that? hehe. I love that moment.
Group texting with Sarah, Steph and Sar always makes my day. We talk about the most random things and are constantly there for each other. I am so appreciative of them and their support. The giggles, the weirdness, everything involved in those crazy, awesome wonderful text chats.
Sometimes when Im with my mom I know I am her but younger. Watching the Golden Globes we had the same reactions to almost everything. We just think so much the same, we get each other. She is absolutely my best friend in the world and I love moments like watching award shows with her, our mutual hatred for Anne Hathaway for no reason at all, how much we love Ben Affleck and the movie Argo and how we have the same silly crying, screaming reactions to people winning awards or losing awards. I am her.

Precious post!! So true and so relatable!!! Thank you, Neely!
You know I totally agree with that quote! I wish more people would realize that is what life is about! After all EACH of us will leave here empty handed π Miss you girl!
You two are just so stinking cute π
I totally agree! It is so important to take time to appreciate the little things in life.
How cute are you and A?! I agree – the cookie dough pieces are the best part π
Cherise this time with your Mom. My Mom was my best friend all my adult life, we laughed together about everything, shared the same interest (all) clothing, perfume, movies, make up, we looked alike and loved spending time together. Then she got sick and in 38 days she was gone from cancer that took over. Her last word was my name and I love you. I miss her every moment and am so envious of those of you that have moments like this. Your Mom is precious, never get to busy to spend time with her, I am so glad I did because I cherise every moment I spent with her and did not waste my time on other things. I spent every weekend and all my free time with her and it was amazing. Your Mom is percious, cancel your plans and go spend the weekend with her. You will not regret it when she is gone. My great Mom moment was on her 80th I gave her a 5 star trip to Disneyland that left me with memories of her smile that I have to hold onto. Give your Mom a dream trip, it will change your life. Lucky you to have such a wonderful family.
So sweet!! Make each moment a moment to cherish π
I love this. It really is so important to take the time to notice those little moments. Whenever my husband gets on my nerves, it isn’t the big moments like our wedding I think back to to remind me why I love him, it’s little things that have made our relationship what it is. Thanks for reminding me to cherish more.
