We just had a twitter discussion about Teen Mom and so I felt it needed a blog post too.
I cant get enough. Ive seen every episode of 16 and pregnant and both seasons of Teen Mom…gosh I hope there is a 3rd!
Now you may not watch Teen Mom but have you been to a grocery store lately because I bet you have seen the 56 thousand magazine covers with these girls on them…
She yells at her 2 year old, she leaves her in a crib with no sheets, she beats the living $h!t out of her boyfriend and acts as though being a mother is some life prison sentence she’s serving. Hey Amber…you had sex and chose to keep your child. Step up and act like a mother!
I love Maci, I love Catelynn and I could go either way on Farrah. But Amber is just evil.
I could not agree more. I was so shocked by Amber’s behavior and she does act like her life is one big prison sentence. It’s so ridiculous and she irritates the living heck outta me
If I’m flippin through the channels and see this is on I may or may not stop and watch it. Chris laughs at me for it, but hey whatever!
I watch this show too, Josh doesn’t even fight me on it anymore!
I missed last nights, but hope to catch it this weekend…Amber is crazy town. Poor Gary and Leah!

I saw that show for the first time last night, and was shocked at Amber…she is horrible!! That poor kid.
I totally agree with you! I don’t get to watch Teen Mom very much, but I did watch all of the girls on 16 & Pregnant. I think the concept of the show is great, and I hope that young girls are really getting the message of the show. Working in the adoption field, it just breaks my heart to see those girls in those situations, some very close to the situations of my clients. Sad stuff 🙁
Oh my gosh, I can’t stand Amber! She is so immature and horrible to that poor baby! She doesn’t pay attention to her at all! But I do love Maci, she is a great Mom!
Amber is crazy. I hope Gary finally has enough and takes Leah away from that mess of a home, I feel so bad for that little girl.

I do think that they should have an update on all the girls that have been on 16 & Pregnant just to see how they are doing.
I totally agree with you… except about Farrah. She sure doesn’t seem like she would earn the Mother of the Year award either… yikes!
Farrah- I’m back and forth on. The last ep I watched, she left her on the KITCHEN COUNTER! But at least she got upset when she realized it. Amber is just mean.
I have never seen the show but religiously read my US magazine. I would have a hard time watching someone not treating their child very well!! Maci lives (or did live before she moved) about 15 minutes away from my house.
Oh girl, I wanted to jump in on your Twitter convo this morning… but didn’t want to intrude, haha! I love me some Teen Mom soooo much too!! Greg tried to sit down and watch with me last week and I seriously looked and him and said, “You.Do.Not want to watch this with me” He tried to argue, but I ended up shooing him out of the room 😉 Srrsly, Teen Mom is NOT a guy show!!
Another thing about Amber– HER CUSSING and YELLING!!! HORRIBLE :-O It amazes me that people don’t understand that EVERYTHING you do is a lesson to children– Leah will LEARN to scream and yell. Uggggggh. Tyler and Caitlin make me cry, they’re so sweet. Her mom is HOOOOOORIBLE. Almost as bad as Amber. Gah… I could go on and on about this show 😉

Amber is the most ridiculous person in the world! She makes me cringe. They are the worst parents ever, they don’t ever watch the baby.

I have issues with Farrah. She is simply not a smart cookie. I laughed and laughed when she got caught up in that car scam. Who falls for that kind of stuff??? But at the same time I felt bad for her. She does try. This show really frustrates me. How can I try for years to get pregnant and someone like Leah gets a baby without even trying. I am sure it is all part of God’s plan…but it is still frustrating.

I’m SOOO glad someone else besides me has those sentiments on Amber! She thinks the world revolves around her, wowza..she needs a reality check in a BIG way!
My favorite is Maci, it’s weird because I only live 45 minutes away from her…I recognize a lot of the places during her scenes. It’s just weird to me.
I Love this show too!! You are spot on with the girls…Amber makes me very angry. But it is good to show that if you’re a teen and you’re still in that selfish stage, you better think more than twice about gettin’ busy!
I love this show too! I don’t even bother DVR’ing it because I always make sure I watch it when it airs.
And I want to beat Amber.
I am slightly, change that, obsessed with this show! I do not know why but I have just loved it from the start. Amber needs a reality check, the sad thing is that I have a feeling that she will lose custody of Leah at some point. I too hope that teenage girls are able to see what their choices could lead them to.
amber is terrible — they need to take that poor little baby away from her AND Gary. I feel so bad for little Leah!!
Maci does a great job… Caitlin I feel so sorry for… and Farrah needs some psychological work done – she is a mess, bless her heart!
