Good morning all!
Well its here August…AKA The hottest month of the year down in Texas….if you leave here you understand if you don’t…I sort of hate you cause you probably live somewhere cooler haha.
Seriously 105 yesterday and Today…that’s not normal
Oh Fun fact…our AC broke yesterday(the upstairs unit-where bedrooms are) So I slept at Chads. Its getting fixed sometime between 2-7 today hopefully…made me want to cry. While I adore my boyfriend and in my book there is no such thing as too much time with him, I like to sleep in MY bed on Sundays, watch my DVR and start my week off right. Sleeping at Chads though is fun he just stays up later which means I stay up later and then alarm goes off at 5:20 for my morning workout. Oy. So here I am with less than 5 hours of sleep, I worked out for 70 mins(not sure how that happened) and downed a venti nonfat latte like it was my job. Ill make it to 5 PM…I will…I will.
OK so first goals…these are a mix of workout, diet, personal, and school goals.
so ….
1. Continue my workout regimen. I am so proud that Ive kept up my plan it took some coaxing even though some dayserrrr bribing 🙂 but Its really paying off and I can tell a huge difference
2. Continue to eat right. I have allowed myself a cheat meal on weekends because I’m still maintaining. I haven’t gained and I’m still losing so a burger or a few slices of pizza are OK 🙂
3. Calm down…I getting agitated and high strung when stress(and sometimes when not) and I take it out on Chad, I don’t think he’ll put up with it forever so I need to stop and realize he didn’t do anything wrong I need to breathe…
4. Get all A’s this semester. First semester in Grad School Id like to start it off right. I need to give myself a few hours(not necessarily consecutive) everyday of good solid studying. No facebook or twitter or blogs…just school work.
5. Cook more…OK I cook but I also let my mom cook for me a lot 🙂 What? Shes really good and we eat the same way! But I need to do the work too!
6. Check my budget. Ive been overspending a lot lately. Some things I needed(new running shoes) some things I didn’t(cute sweater at BCBG) but I need to remember that Chad and I are going on a vacation in December and we need money for that!
7. Spend more time with my fam! I see them a lot for instance I saw them all day yesterday but more one on one time with my grandparents and my dad and step mom and my cousin Natalie specifically(she’s 10)
8. Read more for fun. I was great about this until summer when I was studying for the GRE and taking a pre req class. Ive finished two books since but two books in a month is not that great. I’m used to two books in a week!
9. Find more “Neely” time. I stretch myself thin with work, family time, Chad, friends and I rarely have time for myself and when I do it feels rushed like I’m trying to get sooooo much done in soooo little time. So I need to set aside time for just me. Especially a few hours on Sat and on Sun.
10. Relax more. I’m not perfect and I know I try to be a lot of the time but I need to realize its pretty unreasonable.
I wrote these on here not so others can see and think this is what everyone should be doing but mainly so I am held accountable for them. I would like to check monthly and see how I’m doing so Sept 1st we will see how I’m holing up 🙂

no ac in this heat is insane! I hope it gets fixed today!!!! Great goals…finding “me” time is so hard to do but so needed!
You have some great goals…I need to join in on the budget one. I’ve been spending terrible amounts of money buying furnishings for the home we’re building. I’ve got to get that under control! 🙂

I also dislike anyone who lives in a state that is not over 100 degrees with 100% humidity right now.
