What I’ve Been Reading in 2013

So Im a bit of a book worm…yes behind the reality TV, coffee drinking and workoholic behavior I do find time to read. Shocking I know.

Here are some of the books I’ve read this  year. Im a big Colleen Hoover fan. Her books are amazing and they are great quick reads. You get into them super fast and you cant put them down. I went through them all in a day each.

  1. I just bought The Spectacular Now this morning to read. I was so excited when I read one of the reviews and it said that it will make John Hughes proud. I mean, the man brought us the classics, how can it not be amazing?!

My sister is obsessed with John Green and keeps trying to get me to read, but I just can’t get into it.

  2. Oh the books I could reccomend…. SO MANY BOOKS!

I read Divergent this year and OMG I loved it! I have Insurgent waiting for me on my iPad and I’ve already pre-ordered Allegiant. Then The Fault in Our Stars… there are no words. Honestly, my mom is borrowing it right now and I’m seriously worried for her emotional health cause I have like a week-long book hangover after that book.

Right now I’m reading Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. SO CUTE!

I also just finished The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It’s amazing. Just have a box of tissues ready.

  3. Hmm The Boogie man is my Friend.. by a personal blogging buddy Kathryn Marshall Loving.. She is a former cop who specialized in finding the predators. Her book is mixed with cop humor, the reality of today’s predators and teaching parents the truth that major news media doesn’t want you to know. Really good book and I just bought the sequel to it called The Rookies.

  4. I love the divergent series! A little too excited to read the next one. Right now, I’m all about puppy training books, but I’ll have to check out the next P.S. book – didn’t realize she came out with another one!

I read the Divergent series last year… I think. I’m so ready for the next one to come out. If you like it, you should read Maria V. Snyder. She has one dystopian series, but the really, REALLY good stuff is set out of modern times in a fantasy world.

  7. According to Goodreads, I’ve met my Reading Challenge 2013 goal already with 35 books. I’m always reading. 🙂 Sue Grafton, Jojo Moyes, Heidi Ashworth, Janet Evanovich, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Kathleen Tessaro and many many many more. 🙂 If you ever need a book suggestion, I’m typically always talking about books on Tuesdays on my blog. Currently I’m reading a Heidi Ashworth book (due out next month) and a Rachel Gibson book.

I’ve been reading the Unwind trilogy by Neal Shusterman! I just finished the first book and am waiting for the second to be delivered through Amazon. I am extremely anxious to read it and for the third one to come out in a few weeks! Very good books so far! I will have to look into the books you’ve been reading! They all look great 🙂

I have got to read The Fault in Our Stars. It’s been on my to-read list forever!! Did you like the Divergent series? It doesn’t look like something I’d normally pick up, but I keep hearing everyone rave about it!

How did you like “The Fault in Our Stars”? I fell in love with John Green and his writing. If you did enjoy his writing style, you should read “Looking for Alaska”. It was amazing.
