Ice Ice Baby

Alright stop collaborate and listen! No seriously…

Dallas is very ice ice baby right now. Or rather since Thursday night.

When Ice Storm Cleon or Winter Storm Cleon(reminds me of clingon…anyone else?) hit.

This basically halted the city and shut it down. So here we are on Monday. PJs day 4. Im pretty sure I have not had a bra on since Friday and makeup?…yeah no.

I have taken no less than 3 naps, and I have sneezed no less than 50 times along with a cough that likes to hurt my ribs and ears that feel like they may explode.

But at least if Im going to be stuck Im stuck with A….

We have watched football(mostly me) Go Auburn, Go Baylor, Go Michigan State! All the teams I wanted to win won and I will be yelling Boomer Sooner against Bama come Sugar Bowl time.

Cowboys play Chicago tonight and poor Cowboys too cold for my boys to practice outside although tonight they are playing in 5 degree temps…lord help us.

I did get out for a bit Friday in the crazy ice because I was invited to a blogger event put on by Google and Dry Bar for a friend and I to get blowouts and play with the new google nexus tablet and then we each got to take a tablet home and yeah I was not going to turn that down.

Here are some pics from the weekend 🙂

So here I am on day 4, drinking coffee, watching the news, and working from home with A. Im surprised we are both still alive honestly. No kidding.

Sadly we were planning on having a house warming party this weekend that we had to postpone but other than that it was nice to have good quality time together and just relax.

Also cant believe he agreed to watch the Holiday, I’m pretty sure he was just that bored of being stuck inside.

But cabin fever? Me? nah. I dont get that. If I have food, netflix and heat/internet Im good!

Oh and our lovely fireplace 🙂

Also thank you google/drybar for the AMAZING event! I had the best time and it was an amazing break from the cold/frozen weather. The drinks, food, and fun were much appreciated and also bonus having my makeup done was super fun! I love my new tablet!!!

How was everyone elses frozen weekend?

I t always cracks me up how Texas comes to a standstill during winter weather events. San Angelo, a smallish West Texas town has a sander…San Antonio DOES NOT! So funny.

  6. The event looks so fun! It’s funny isn’t it how all of Texas and native Texans shut down at the sight of a snowflake. I know this Texan does. 🙂

You did better than I did! I was without power for 8 hours! Thankfully it came back on. There were places without electricity for 36+ hours! I am glad we are thawing out and I am back at work. Enjoy your 4th day off! Making memories!

On the one hand, I’m jealous that you guys have shut down because of the ice.. but then I’m also glad that we’re more equipped for snow and ice storms because honestly, people get dumb enough around here when it snows and we have plows & salt trucks galore!!

We’ve spent most of our iced in time watching movies or on the internet! We did go out Saturday but boy that was a trek! I-20 was a disaster.

  16. I hated being stuck in the house. We went down to College Station on Saturday to pick up a truck and driving back late that night was nutso. Glad we both made it home safely. I think we went through an entire loaf of bread in 2 days because we didn’t want to get out and go to the grocery store.

I can’t believe the massive amounts of ice/snow TX is getting! I live in MI and we’ve barely had ANY! Not that I’m complaining. 😉 Also, you’re my hero for going so long without a bra. That sounds like pure HEAVEN!
