Guys….
I have a problem…
A reality TV problem.
I have added a ridiculous amount of stupid reality TV shows to my DVR and I thought well why not share:
Kim of Queens cause who doesn’t love a stupid beauty pageant show
Party down South …cause I really miss Buckwild
Are you the one…we are addicted to this new MTV dating show…its so bad its good
Breaking The Faith…the first season is over but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show on TLC
Rich Kids of Beverly Hills…Haven’t watched it yet but I know I will
What is wrong with me? Why do I watch this crap? Is it because my day-to-day life is so rigorous and full of work and business that at night I just want to relax? Am I the only one with this problem? Is there reality TV rehab I can attend?
I blame Survivor and The Real World(which sadly I still watch) because that’s where it started. It seemed innocent enough. Surivor wasn’t so bad and real world was enough for our teen angst but now there are just so many choices and they all look so amusing. I mean how can we choose? We can’t so we just watch them all. Then our DVR is full of this junk and our fiancée’s ok my fiancée is like “why are you watching this crap?” Then he gets sucked into yet another Wife Swap rerun and he’s hooked too. It’s a cycle guys a vicious cycle that does not end. Sadly I think the “Reality” TV phase is here to stay. More and more reality shows are coming on and less and less “scripted” shows are staying on the air. So what’s a girl to do?
Watch the reality shows right?
Where do you stand?

I love reality tv too. It’s bad! Kim of Queens, Dance Moms, sister wives, practically anything on TLC or Bravo!
My reality problem is the Hills. I seriously need to stop!
Personally, I’m not a big fan of reality tv unless it’s cooking competitions. Those I’m hooked on!
If I watched everything I wanted to I’d literally be watching TV all. the.time. There are so many stupid reality shows I want to watch but won’t. Yes, I’m watching Kim of queens and that stupid dating show on MTV looks intriguing but the bottom line is you really can’t watch everything. I am very picky about what else I will add to the lineup. If it’s dance, or beauty pageant related it’s usually in!! If it’s super pointless and trashy I try to stay away. If it’s on more then once a week or for two hours at a time forget it. Some things I really, really want to watch and I just don’t because there isn’t time. Just don’t set it up to record and if it’s on turn the channel so you don’t get hooked. It’s such an addiction!!!
My husband tells me that I am making myself ‘stupid’ by watching these reality TV shows… I tell him that I am making myself look smarter and feeling better about myself after each one I watch! I then sit and wonder if I will still be watching The Challenge as I am sitting in an old folks home..
Oh my! The old folks home is going to be an endless reality marathon! I predict it now!
I love breaking the faith! I hope it comes back for another season! Mindless entertainment is good for the soul, right?
My addiction definitely started with Survivor..curse you, Jeff.
This is cute! lol I LOVE shows like Law and Order SVU & Nashville! 🙂 Oh! I am hosting a giveaway if you like to check it out!

OMG I miss Buckwild too!!!! That’s why I watch Rodeo Queens!!!! If you haven’t seen that one, check it out! I’ll have to check out Party Down South!
I would be such a productive person if it wasn’t for reality TV. I’m so excited for the new season of Survivor. And the train wreck that is Teen Mom 2.
I love cooking and decorating shows, but never seem to remember to dvr them. My guilty pleasure last year was amish mafia…it was hilarious! I still don’t believe that most of it was real.
I watch the most ridiculous television. My husband is embarrassed for me most days. I love Mob Wives, Teen Mom 2, The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Big Brother.
Yeahhh, I have this problem as well. Guilty as charged for loading up on Honey-boo-boo reruns. It’s all just way too good!
Girl, why is wife swap so good!?
You know girl, I am embarrassed to admit how much space on my DVR is reserved for reality television….I hate admitting that I watch Kim of Queens too! It’s the train wreck I can’t stop watching!!!
I loved breaking the faith too! I hope it comes back for another season.
The husband & I watch couples therapy its awful lol
My list also includes Dance Moms, Shipping Wars, Pawn Stars OH OH and my latest fav 90 day Fiance! Love it lol
The only reality tv that I used to watch was shows on Bravo and HGTV. Now, that I blog and work on house stuff 8-12 hours a day, I have no desire to watch it. LOL kinda like I used to watch a Wedding story and a baby story BEFORE i got married and had babies. We did cancel our cable, so now it’s just Netflix and Amazon for us and about $100 less each month. We all have our fixes!!
Oh my!! I know right! Every time I watch another episode of Kardashians I’m begging myself to turn it off but I just can’t! Then I decide screw it…they make me feel normal! lol I loved Real World and Road Rules and Real World vs Road Rules. I watched them all! We’d watch more sitcoms but they don’t make them like they used to! I miss Friends and Seinfeld!!!
I’m guilty as well… The Real World and Teen Mom are my weaknesses! I can’t wait until they bring the ex’s in on this season of the Real World! LOL!
Wife Swap, Bachelor, Real World, Sister Wives, Breaking Amish, Teen Mom… I think I might have a problem too…. these are like my guilty pleasures to escape from my own life… I won’t tell if you don’t tell :)!
I too must confess, I have an addiction to reality TV. Sigh…my vices include Top Chef, The Amazing Race, most anything Real Housewives, etc.
I have seen all 20 cycles of America’s Next Top Model. It’s revolting, and I am almost ashamed to admit it, considering how atrocious it is and how utterly insane Tyra Banks has become. I’m a huge fan of MasterChef, MasterChef Junior, The Taste, Chopped, Hell’s Kitchen and The Voice (and totally relieved Usher & Shakira are returning!) So you’re not by your lonesome. 😉
