So since I was sick all week I didn’t intend to have too much of a crazy weekend…
Friday morning I met my bestest friend Elyssa at Northpark for some Starbucks and a movie. We saw The Lovely Bones…I read the book a long time ago and I loved it but the movie wasn’t too impressive. It wasn’t bad by any means, it just wasn’t great.
I would say rent/Netflix more than spend money to see it. I’m glad I saw it cause who doesn’t love time with their best friend but I am much more excited for 2 weeks from now when we see this…
The rest of that day I did some work and ran a few errands. That night Chad and I had a low key date night. We ate at PF Changs which was sooooo yummy and then we saw Avatar…Yes I saw two movies in one day.
Oh Avatar….
It was actually really great. I was not excited at all to see this movie although I do like the 3D movies. This was more of a Chad movie, I make him watch girl movies like Love Actually 3 times before Christmas so obviously I cant complain but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I think everyone should see it although I think everyone already had and I am pretty sure we were the last people to see it. The people next to us had seen it twice before. Its long though…almost 3 hours. We got out of the movie around 11 and I fell asleep on the way home. We put in Dark Knight when we got home and I was out before the opening scene finished.
Saturday morning Chad got us Starbucks as usual and then we both had a bunch of stuff to get done so we went our separate ways for a few hours. I went to Northpark and got some new makeup. I recommend to everyone to out and get NARS Ophelia lip gloss….its A-MAZING! I also splurged on some new makeup brushes that i desperately needed. I read an article in my new Elle that showed a cute way to display makeup brushes and I tried it out. I got a small fishbowl and some colored gravel and voila! Its super cute…I really like it.
That night Chad and I had dinner with my mom at Tillman’s Roadhouse. Its in Oak cliff in the Bishop Arts district. Its a cool/fancy place that has wooden animal heads, velvet pillows and chandeliers. I had steak, mac and cheese with truffle oil and mashed potatoes. Yummmmmmmmmm. Then for desert we had s’mores. It was heavenly.
Sunday we went to Chads parents for a Cowboys watching party. I would have taken pictures but they would have all looked like this
It was an OK time I don’t think I could have had less fun…but that’s all because my beloved cowboys sucked sideways the people, food and environment were awesome. Poor Romo…no one covered him at all…but I wont rant because I did that enough already.
Sunday night Chad and I just relaxed, had some Italian Food and watched the Golden Globes with my mom.
YAY FOR SANDRA BULLOCK!!!
Well I’m working on MLK day so I suppose I should get back to it
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend 🙂
