I saw a young mother
With eyes full of laughter
And two little shadows
Came following after.
Wherever she moved,
They were always right there
Holding onto her skirts,
Hanging onto her chair.
Before her, behind her—
An adhesive pair.

“Don’t you ever get weary
As, day after day,
your two little tagalongs
Get in your way?”

She smiled as she shook
Her pretty young head,
And I’ll always remember
The words that she said.

“It’s good to have shadows
That run when you run,
That laugh when you’re happy
And hum when you hum—
For you only have shadows

When your life’s filled with sun.”

The greatest job I’ve ever had and my biggest joy in life. I prayed for them endlessly and I’ll be forever grateful I get to be their mom.

What my 5-8 looks like before I get in the 8-5 mindset! Taking classes a few days a week at @purebarredallas has truly been such a game changer for me. I started going to this studio in 2010! What is something you do every morning for yourself?

Spending my 40s making sure my kids have a childhood free of anxiety and worry. I think so much about smart phones, video games etc and while we do let them use tablets on occasion and watch tv I’ll be holding onto these simpler days as long as I can #letthembelittle #waituntil8th

I always felt like turning 40 was going to be a HU

I always felt like turning 40 was going to be a HUGE thing and I would immediately feel like it aged me. Thankfully a few months ago I started taking @thehappymammoth products and I have glided into 40 unphased. I knew I wanted to tackle gut health but also make sure my bones and joints were staying healthy. I love taking barre and pilates classes and I have two very active kids so being healthy for them and myself is my biggest priority! I can’t wait to see how continuing Happy Mammoth products helps me stay my best self at 40 and beyond! #partner #fortyandhealthy
