Yes we all know this is from 10 things I hate about you…do you ever feel whelmed?

I promise a Blissdom post is coming tomorrow…I still have to collect my thoughts and recover 🙂

Lately I’ve been feeling overwhelmed , underwhelmed and whelmed..not just work wise or blog wise but just overwhelmed. I wrote several months ago about how I am on antidepressants and suffer from anxiety. Lately thinking more and more about my company, my future, my dad getting better, dealing with 2 torn ligaments in my shoulder and other various facets of life. I switched backed to Lexapro and switched to a different anti anxiety medicine and adjusting to the two is tough.

Work is going really well and growing like mad and thank god for that.

Things with A are great and with my friends and family.

Then there are times I feel overwhelmed with what I need.  Where I need something extra in life…an extra date with A, or a fro yo trip with friends, time to myself that is never enough. Somedays I just want to go outside and walk for hours and not have to think about things that need to get done or anything else.

Today was clearly just a post blissdom ramble…bear with me.

Do you ever feel whelmed? Over or Under?

I definitely feel overwhelmed a lot because like you, I deal with my anxiety each and everyday. It’s tough sometimes. I definitely came back feeling overwhelmed with all the projects I know I have to dive into now as deadlines are looming but I know as usual – I’ll get things done.
Wishing you the best this week xo

I definitely feel like you can just feel “whelmed”. You are busy but it’s not quite THAT uncomfortable yet. It does pass. Whenever I have felt like that or even overwhelmed, I try to set aside some “me” time that doesn’t involved me doing anything for anyone else. It might be 20 minutes or an hour. A bath, a nap, reading a few chapters of a book, a walk, etc.

All the time. Between work and just life period. I think down time with friends or even just yourself is necessary to stay sane.

I feel this way, too… I feel I don’t have enough time to myself and that when I do get time to myself I feel I need to spend it working out!

I have been feeling overwhelmed a lot the last couple of years now, but it is better at times and worse at times. At the moment it is okay, but then I start stressing about something else and get worried about that! Keep going, the medications will adjust soon!

I feel like there is always just TOO much for me to accomplish so sometimes I am just mediocre. I totally feel you.

I am ALWAYS overwhelmed and also suffer from anxiety. It drives my husband crazy how easily stressed out I get. We’ve been moving all week and I’ve been such an emotional wreck, I’ll be glad when it’s over

I am movin to another state and doing everything by myself. Yes I am overwhelmed because my friends all moved away, my Brothers are disfunctional and everybody I try to hire to help wants to much money. Doing a move all by yourself is very stressfful and I do not sleep much. One step at a time, one task at a time. I am doing it all with severe chronic pain and a neck that does not work right , and no feeling in any fingers from arthritis pain. Yesh Its stressful alright.

Is it possible to feel over & underwhelmed at the same time? I’m going to say YES. Overwhelmed by the small picture & underwhelmed by the big picture. I feel so crazy running around with a ‘to do’ list but where is it really getting me? My life isn’t what I thought it was going to be at 26, for better or worse, but sometimes I just feel like time is passing me by & I don’t always know how to make it worthwhile. Should I relax because I’m freaking tired or should I just suck it up & go out to have an experience and memories?! It’s really crippling sometimes but I guess I’m not alone!
