Do’s and Don’ts

Today I would like to give my opinions on Do’s and Don’t s
So I hope you enjoy and maybe you agree with some πŸ™‚
Do….Enjoy alone time. I can’t tell you how many of my friends who are married, have kids, etc tell me they miss alone time. Alone time is important! So go get a pedicure, have a latte, go shopping, see a movie, take yourself to lunch but do it alone! You’ll thank me.Β
Don’t…hate people because other people hate them. Thats just silly. If you aren’t going to like someone FINE but do it because YOU dont like them. Not cause your friend or relative doesn’t like them. Life is too short people.Β
Do….Have that 3rd glass of wine. Some of my best memories are with my girlfriends having way too much wine. Just like I did this past Saturday night with Amber and Kiley. Have that third glass because thats when the conversations get special πŸ™‚
Don’t….Eat Panda Express…just trust me on this.Β
Do….buy one statement piece of jewelry that is timeless. I have a cocktail ring I have had for 6 years, my mom gave it to me for Christmas and I wear it constantly. I am in love with it and it was not expensive. Timeless doesn’t have to break the bank.
Don’t….ever go to sleep with makeup on! Your skin is precious and you must treat it as so. Granted in my younger years I did not always abide by this but now no matter how tired, drunk or ridiculous I am I wash my face!
Do….indulge. I watch my weight, I exercise and I don’t eat crap. But if I am at a nice restaurant or its just that time of the month, I indulge my sweet tooth or my cool ranch Doritos tooth.Β
Don’t….live in regrets. The time has passed and you either did what you wanted or you didn’t but there is no sense in sitting around wondering What If? And living in regrets. Learn from it and move on!
These are just my personal opinions, thanks for listening!
Happy Wednesday loves!

  2. I enjoyed this post. The alone time is a big one. My husband and I are almost married 5 years, but we’re waiting to have kids until we’re ready because there’s still so much we want to do before the pitter patter of little feet.

My favorite quote, which I think sums up your last point, is “don’t regret what happened in the past, because without your past, you wouldn’t be who you are today”

I agree with many of these! Alone time is definitely something I cherish when my stepdaughters are here visiting. It’s very hard to get some quiet time to yourself.

Instead of a Cool Ranch Dorito tooth, I have a Cheetos tooth. Which I indulge in. πŸ™‚

  6. I so agree with the 2rd glass of wine. You make the best memories when you have just about hit your limit LOL.
I don’t agree with Panda. It depends on which one you go to. The one down the road from me is awesome on a plate!

I love this post, Neely! You are RIGHT about the alone time thing— I have to have a couple hours at night to myself to just read in silence and clear my head! I also agree about washing your face no matter what, lol— no matter how wasted I was in college, I have NEVER slept in makeup. As Amber would say, you might wake up looking like a homeless hooker.

I love this list so so much! It’s so funny how we take alone time for granted- that is- until we’re not alone! I 100% agree with you on the second one. I will never not like someone simply because one of my friends doesnt. I’ve always thought that to be awful & I simply won’t do it!

  17. i love this post. i’m not even married, nor do i have kids but i think alone time is the best thing any girl could do for herself. i enjoy nothing more than every few weeks going to get a pedi by myself, or go to lunch by myself. its great reflection time and just time to get away..

and yes i am a true believer in washing your makeup off!!!

    awesome post! happy wednesday.

I agree 100% with alone time. Since I have kids it is very hard for me to get some alone time. I don’t even get alone time in the bathroom anymore.

I will agree with the free time one! I have a toddler and when he’s sleeping at night and when i go for my nightly walk it is so nice just to be alone and just think! Also I am soooo bad at the going to bed with make-up on! I am working on it and have gotten better but I still struggle!

Great list! I am so ready for a THIRD glass of wine!!

I am awful about washing my face though. It seems like everytime, I get into some sort of face washing and moiturizing, I break out. I do wear sunscreen on my face everyday. I wish I would have started that earlier!
