It Starts With Coffee

All year long I realize how blessed I am in my life. I have a wonderful husband, amazing friends and family, a warm bed, a nice house and car, and more things than I could ever want. Especially this time of year I realize how much I have and I want to be able to give back. Gifting others is really important all year, but especially during the holidays. Recently, Andrew and I selected several people from an Angel tree at his office and one at my gym to buy some holiday goodies for. I know exactly where I was going to go. I knew I would head to Payless. There was such an amazing selection of shoes, purses, scarves, hats, gloves, slippers, etc for men and women of all ages. We had everyone covered. We specifically picked people who wanted shoes because with the cold months ahead you want your feet to stay warm! We also grabbed each of them socks, hats, and scarves even though they weren’t on the list.

I was so excited with the amount of items I could find for everyone on our list. We had such a great experience shopping for them. Andrew and I enjoyed working together to come up with styles and types of shoes for each person.

We had a two young children, three and seven years old, as well as a teenager. For one of the little girls I grabbed these Champion sneakers. We grabbed these little boy sneakers as well which I thought were adorable! I love that they are Star Wars themed. I also grabbed things for a middle aged woman and an elderly man. For the elderly man we got him these sleek Champion sneakers. We wanted to make sure they had a better winter and holiday season than maybe they would have had otherwise, and new shoes and some warm accessories were just the trick.

The woman who helped us was really kind and we chatted with her for a while about what we were doing. She was thrilled to help! Her friendly and warm attitude really helped set the tone for the experience. I think having people at a store that seem genuinely excited to be there and help you is amazing. Another great bonus was the HUGE selection for everyone. Having so many choices of boots, sneakers, dress shoes, etc was great. We ended up getting everyone sneakers since there was no specification. I love the sweet little kid sneakers I found. The sneakers we got for the elderly man were great too and I hope give him lots of support.

Gifting for others with Payless has been one of the highlights of my holiday season so far. Remember this time of year that giving back is really what its all about!
