On Monday February 6th I was getting ready to leave for work when I got an email, I read it quickly and saw something about Chevy, something about loving my blog, something about Valentines day….
I responded with “Please send me more information.”
On my way out the door I called Chad and said “Can you drive stick?” He said “Yes.”
Many more emails back and forth and…
About 4 hours later it was settled…I had committed to Chevy Texan’s Valentines
What did this mean?
It meant on Wednesday we would be given the use of a 2012 Corvette for a week, the opprotunity to go on 2 dates all expenses paid. One to Ft. Worth for the day and one to a wine bar and a restaurant on Valentines Day.
How could I say no???
On Wednesday the Corvette came
On Friday a lovely gift basket arrived for me from Chevy and Central Market
On Friday evening before I had to go to Care Now(a story for a different day) Chad gave me my Valentines gifts which included 2 pairs of Lululemon Crops, a Lululemon Jacket, Some Tory Burch Sandals and Some Tory Burch Sunglasses
Saturday morning we went out to brunch
Chad rockin his new leather gloves from Christmas
Rockin some of my new Lulu crops, and fav uggs….it was freezing
Took a Pure Barre class together, it was the bring on the Men day
Chad took me to get a pedicure at Pampered Soles….these were the colors I couldn’t decide between
Then we went to iPic to see the Vow….LOVED IT
WE also enjoyed a bottle of my fav, Kung Fu Girl wine
Please excuse the finger, the movie had already started….gotta love a theater that serves bottles of wine
Sunday we headed out to Ft. Worth for our day there courtesy of Chevy
Also excuse the pale, medicated hot mess on the left
We had the most AMAZING brunch at the Omni Hotels restaurant, Cast Iron
Then we walked around the Ft. Worth Water Gardens
We then headed to the Stockyards, which I had never been to!
We walked around, checked out the neat shops, got cupcakes, Chad bought a shirt, and it started to snow for about 4 minutes 🙂
We had such a great time in Ft. Worth!!!
Tuesday, Valentines Day started with some beautiful flowers delivered to me
We then went to 2 Corks and a Bottle wine bar and the owner was hands down one of the nicest people I have ever met. If you are in Dallas and want to go to a great low key wine bar, go there! Chad enjoyed a tasting, I enjoyed a giant glass of wine and we saw a couple get engaged!!
We then headed to Bolsa for dinner. I was pretty excited to go because I had never been before, however we did not have a great experience there. The service was awful, they sat us in a corner next to the stacked extra chairs, they were not very accommodating, and the food was sub par. Honestly this is why I do not usually like Valentines dinners, I hate Prix Fixe meals and food made in mass quantities. I will say the wine and salad were pretty good.
It was a pretty amazing Valentines week!
I feel so lucky, blessed and humbled to have been given this opportunity by Chevy. We are so thankful! We are not usually ones who do much for Valentines, a movie and pizza are more our speed so this was quite the treat!
We loved having the car and getting to ride around Dallas in it!
I also got pretty spoiled by Chad so thanks for that boo!
Also I didn’t take a picture of them but my dad sent me a beautiful bouquet of Lillie’s 🙂

Wow what an awesome valentine’s experience with Chevy! I also saw the movie “the Vow” and I loved it but I have people telling me they aren’t big fans of it.
