We all know men and women think differently. We also know they shop differently. My husband is far more likely to spend his day in Best Buy or Home Depot while I look annoyed in the corner. But I know he would rather do anything else than come to the mall with me as well. I am guessing your husbands/boyfriends are probably that way too!
One thing we agree on though is credit card rewards and our favorite is Chase Freedom. Our Chase Freedom card offers amazing rewards and cash back deals that come in handy this time of year. For instance, Chase Freedom will offer cardholders 10% cash back on up to $1,500 in new purchases from Amazon.com, Zappos.com, Diapers.com and Audible.com through December 31, 2015. You can learn more about that here. We are huge fans of online shopping and Amazon is where I do about 75% of my holiday shopping. Really it’s where I do my shopping ALL YEAR ROUND! Also lately I have been in love with Audible.com for listening to books in my car or at the gym.
We are huge fans of the new mobile app. It’s great for keeping track of those amazing rewards! Right now for Chase Freedom cardholders, gifting yourself something fun just got a whole lot easier! Using the app, you can redeem rewards on the spot, when paying in-store at many of your favorite stores. So say you are out shopping at Target, you can open that app up and redeem your rewards RIGHT THEN! Download the app in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Recently, Chase Freedom commissioned a nationwide survey revealing that self-gifting is part of the American holiday shopping spirit. One of the points I found interesting was that 48% of people felt a sense of happiness after gifting themselves a little holiday present. I know during black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping I grabbed a few things for myself along with the gifts I got for Andrew, our parents and friends. The survey found that 77% of shoppers who have rewards credit cards say they are likely to treat themselves to something special with the rewards they earn buying holiday gifts for others. So think about it this way: you buy everyone gifts for Christmas and you collect rewards with those purchases. Then you use the rewards to buy yourself a treat. Win win! Kind of like the old adage, One for you and one for me! Check out the infographic for more really interesting information!
I would love to know what you use your rewards for? Tell me one thing in the comments below you have treated yourself to this holiday season!
