5 Star Recent Reads

Having a book podcast I am reading even more than I was before, which was already a lot. I love sharing recent reads with you all and always get asked what my 5 star recent reads are. These are the ones I have read in the last month or so!

5 Star Recent Reads

Reckless by Elsie Silver: This is the fourth book in a series and I was shocked by how much I loved it. The second book in the series was my favorite and this may have topped it. It’s about a woman going through a divorce who is also trying to rebuild a relationship with her sister. She has a one-night stand and doesn’t see him again for 18 months (huge miscommunication happens). When he sees her again she has a 9-month-old.

Six Summers To Fall by C.W. Farnsworth:  Tell me a second chance romance and 9/10 times I am in! Harper has to go to her sister’s wedding and this brings with it a lot of emotion. She runs into her childhood crush, Drew on the way and he offers to go with her. We have a second chance and forced proximity. It is SO GOOD!!

Rewrite Our Story by Kat Singleton: One of the best books I read this year. It follows Marigold and Cade who had a thing when she was 19 and he was 22. They had feelings for each other long before but never acted on them. He breaks her heart and they don’t speak for 5 years. Then his mother passes away and she finally returns to their small town.

The Third Basemen by Lulu Moore: My friend told me about this book and I was intrigued. This is another second chance romance. They dated in high school and he broke up with her when he got drafted. Now 14 years later she has come to work for his baseball team (he basically made it in his contract that the only way he would come to the team is if they hired her) and they reconnect.

The Hearts We Break by Katelyn Taylor: The most emotional book I’ve read in a LONG time! This is the third in a series and follows best friends who become lovers. He goes through a divorce and has an injury and she helps him through it all. It’s very spicy and very very emotional. Check trigger warnings!

People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry: I held off on these books for the LONGEST time! I was worried they’d be too overhyped. I was so wrong. I loved this story of Poppy and Alex and their years long friendship through travel and the people they meet. It is a love story but a very slow burn!

Thanks for the book recommendations. I recently re-read a favorite, Say the Word by Julie Johnson, that I highly recommend (adult language and content).
