It’s Summer! That means all of that dark Makeup gets shut away for a while and we try to go with the more natural Summer sun-kissed look. Or at least I do. I do wear a bit more makeup if I have a fancy night out but my day to day makeup changes drastically in the Summer. These are my Summer Makeup Musts:
1. Fun Polish: While I still sometimes put dark colors on my nails my toes always have a fun pop of Summer color to them. I love the new Essie Summer collection! I found a package of the smaller sample sizes at Ulta to buy and they have all been so fun to try out. I have a need to always have my toes painted otherwise I feel naked!
2. An easy foundation: Philosophy hope in a jar bb cream is AHHHHH-mazing! I bought this on a whim to try and I am so glad I did. It is hands down the best ever. Totally worth the price and makes my skin feel so smooth and not heavy or cakey at all. If you are in the need for a great Summer bb cream you should try this.
3. Rock the eyes: I love Maybelline great lash mascara and have since middle school. It has never let me down and I feel like I just rediscovered it the other day. I love how well it goes on and it doesn’t feel too wet or chunky. The perfect Mascara.
4. Rock the eyes part 2: Stila Kitten eyeshadow is the perfect light summer color. Its perfect all year round too which makes buying it even better. I found a Stila kitten set at Nordstrom rack on major sale and it had a pot of the kitten eyeshadow in it and I was so excited. Its very light, sheer and shimmery which I love. Great day or night look.
5. Protect your face: You should really wear sunscreen all the time but I burn super easy so my go to especially in the Summer is the Neutrogena Sunscreen. I usually get it in SPF 50 cause Im ghost like.
6. A Pink Shine: I love pink glosses especially for the Summer. They make me feel good and up beat. I have used mac glosses for a long time and the pinks are all fantastic. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a fun great non sticky gloss.
7. Brighten those cheeks: Tarte amazonian clay blushes are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. They go on great and last so long. You also only need a little to go a long way. The color above is the perfect pinky peach for Summer.

I love the Essie summer polish collection. I always lighten up by ditching the foundation and using tinted moisturizer.
I use the Neutrogena sunscreen too! I’m very fair and burn pretty fast and I decided I should protect my face more–I love this one.
Lotion! I am not a big make up guru.. but I always must have lotion to cover my ashy legs.
I always switch to a tinted moisturizer during the Summer months because regular heavy makeup is so drying and suffocating.
