Favorite Workout Gear

I am a workout nut! I try to workout at least 6 times a week and sometimes all 7 days if some of my workouts were a little slow. I love to buy workout clothes probably more than most other clothes because even when Im not working out I spend most of my time in workout gear. I figured that today i would share with you my Favorite Workout Gear.

Fav Workout Gear

Workout Tops: I love C9 by champion workout tops! They have great built in bras and for someone with small boobs that is super helpful. Also they are very price friendly. I get mine at Target and the last few years they have really stepped up their game. There are so many adorable colors and styles. I also love the Power Y tanks from Lululemon. Not as friendly to the budget but work the money because they last so long!

Workout Bottoms: I range between Nike Shorts, C9 my Champion shorts, Wonder Under Crops from lululemon, Anything from Shop Thomas Kelly and Wonder Under leggings for the colder months. Massive ranges in price here but all of the quality is amazing. I have Nike shorts I’ve had for 8 years that are still in great shape. Also if you have ever wondered about lululemon as long as you hang dry the clothes they last a ton longer and stay looking new so I think they are worth the price.

Workout Socks: For bar classes I always use grip socks. You can buy those at nearly any studio but also I found great ones at Sports Authority for a fraction of the price. When running, taking Body Pump, or doing any other exercise I wear mainly thorlo socks. I discovered these from my mom a few years ago and I was hooked! They are a little pricey but seriously worth it!

Workout Shoes: I have a workout shoe addiction! I love my Nike Free’s and I also love Brooks Running Shoes as well as Adidas Running Shoes. All three are ones I alternate between and think are fantastic! You can find a wide variety of prices and even find them at places like Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I highly recommend all three of these.

Workout Headbands: I have a ton of hair and it always gets in my face. I found this adidas headband years ago and it has been my go to! It doesn’t move out of place, and really gets the job done! You can also find headbands at target and the ones that slip I have found that bobbi pins hold them in place great!

Water: Of course it’s important to stay hydrated! I love my tervis and bando tumblers and carry them with me everywhere, not just to the gym. Always make sure whatever workout you are doing that you take water! Not all gyms have water and why shell out $3 for a bottle when you can get a reusable tumbler?

So those are my favorite workout gear choices and I would love to know yours too! Leave them in the comments!

I workout at home and normally just wear workout shorts and t-shirt in the summer and yoga pants in the winter. My sports bras are always my biggest investment because I hate to bounce so I buy the best sports bras I can find.

  3. I live in my workout clothes, so I am pretty picky about what I wear. I am actually on the hunt for some new running shorts. I like mine really loose and breathable, especially in this heat. HUGE fan of Athleta…The quality of their products has drastically improved. I am still a sucker for some of the yoga tops at Lulu, but really only go there if I have a gift card. 🙂

I need to get some more shorts. I have two pairs that I rotate too often lol. I love those tanks though. I just use old t-shirts but I really want to start investing in new workout clothes.

  6. I normally workout at home or walk around the house. My treat for 50lbs lost is a gym membership in which an investment in workout clothes will be a must; starting with a good pair of sneakers.

grip socks are a necessary evil (back in those days when i could schedule beyond pilates in my day) and they were IMPOSSIBLE to find outside the studio… so thanks for the tip!!

FYI, it’s “barre,” not “bar” classes. You’re not training to be a bartender or a lawyer, are you?
