As Christmas is just around the corner, it means only one thing. No, not presents – the party season is nearly here!
Now, I’m usually the girl who has nothing to wear, frantically searching in the back of the wardrobe on the day of the party. However, this year I am going to get organised! With Christmas parties, Christmas day and of course New Year’s Eve to prepare for, I’ll need a range of outfits to see me through the festivities.
Here’s what I’ll be wearing this year:
Christmas party
The girls and I always like to set a date in December when we can head out and really let our hair down. It’s always great fun, so I want my outfit to reflect this. I really like this navy spotted formal dress. With the bold print and classic cut, it reminds me of one of my favourite eras – the 50s! I’ll be working the old-school glamour look to the max by teaming this dress with a slick of red lipstick, tousled curls and striking red shoes.
Christmas day
I always like to make an effort on Christmas day. Obviously, I won’t be as formal as I am on New Year’s Eve, but I do like a smart dress. I’m hoping Santa will get me this gorgeous red number from My Evening Dress – the rich colour is fabulously festive. I’m not too sure about the black sash belt, so maybe I’ll swap this for a jewelled belt instead.
New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Eve is the event that I really want to look my best for, so I’ve decided to go for an elegant maxi dress. I’ve been looking around online for a while now, but most of the maxi dresses I’ve found are made from a cotton material that is far too casual for the look I’m going for.
Then I found My Evening Dress, a great site that stocks a fabulous range of formal maxi dresses that are just what I’m looking for. I have fallen in love with this burgundy floor sweeper. The colour is very on-trend and the cut will flatter my figure, meaning I can afford to indulge a little more this Christmas.
And who said deciding on an outfit was difficult?!
