This is not the post I had planned for today so for that you’ll have to wait till tomorrow.
I am also sure this is not the only post like this you will see today.
Saturday night after dinner with A’s parents, I was checking twitter and Facebook and saw someone post “RIP Kidd Kraddick”
If you dont live in Dallas, or Texas or stream his show then you probably dont know who Kidd Kraddick is or what the Kidd Kraddick in the morning show is. In Dallas its a show on Kiss FM.
I have listened to it every day since first grade maybe before that but I honestly cant remember it before first grade.
I love everything about the Kidd Kraddick show. I love the bits ala Kinsey calling in, I love when Reality Steve comes on and talks about the Bachelor, I love love letters to Kelly, I love hearing about J-Si’s life and Jenna’s fashion tips and Al’s crazy stories. I love it all.
Its a huge loss for the world as well with the work Kidd Kraddick does with Kidds Kids charity and how much time he devotes to others.
My sincere thoughts and prayers are with his family, his daughter Caroline, his co-hosts, his friends, colleagues, and everyone who’s life he has touched.
In the words of Kidd Kraddick
Keep Lookin Up cause thats where it all is
Im just so sad and I know so many of his fans are too.
Were you a Kidd Kraddick in the morning fan?

When I heard the news I thought it was a hoax. I have listened to him since before Kelly, when it was Jocelyn White. My mornings will never be the same. The world has lost a truly wonderful man, father, and hero to kids everywhere.
I was in complete shock when I heard. The show was syndicated in my area so I’ve only been a listener for a couple of years but I really liked him. I wonder what will become of the show. It’s all just so sad.
Thanks for posting this. My Husband works for Clear Channel (owns KISS FM in Dallas) in Minneapolis and it is a huge loss to the radio industry as well. Everyone was just in shock Saturday night as the news came out. He is a legend and always will be. RIP KK.
I have no idea who he is, but this weekend my twitter/FB feed was flooded with people talking about his death, and today there are many blog posts about it too …It is obvious that he was loved and will be missed π
I blogged about this today. It was not the blog I had planned. In fact, it wasn’t something I even wanted to think about. Kidd Kraddick made such an impact on lives in the DFW area and will be missed.
so crazy…I just wrote a blog post about Kidd as well — breaks my heart! I have listened all my life like you have….Our mornings will never be the same…
I hate local legends pass away – especially those that remind you of childhood!
xx

Still so sad π
