Im not sure how much Ive talked about my online dating history on here if at all.
OK to break it down: I have been on Match.com for 4 years on and off…Remember I dated Chad for nearly 2 years after all was said and done and before him I had 2 other serious/semi serious relationships in there.
Usually Ill be on for a month then not do it for several months then again so it was consistent.
I decided about 2 weeks ago to get back on after Chad and I finally cut ties and I realized I was pretty much over it/him.
So I started emailing with several very cute guys…
Thats when I decided to try something new….
I would date around..play the field…you know not focus all attention on ONE guy
TO protect the innocent I wont use their names….
Monday night I went out with B. B was very very nice. He was the perfect gentlemen. He paid for our dinner/drinks. He let me order first. He walked me to my car. He held the door open. Honestly I was shocked at the chivalry. We didnt stop talking the entire time. Seriously the waiter had to come back 4 times because we kept forgetting to look at the menu!! He was super cute, totally my type…tall, thin and slightly nerdy. I have a thing for guys in glasses….
No kiss at the end of the night….which is fine for a first date
He wants to hang out again Friday….
I rate the date as an A
Last night I went out with J
How to describe J….well he was not nearly as cute as his profile pictures lead me to believe
There were many awkward silences
I felt like I was always leading the conversation
I ate more than him…which is weird no?
But he did pay…so Ill give him that
He was perfectly nice but there will just not be a second date….
I rate the date as a C-
I had a thought when I was driving home….I guess I realized the night was A Complete Waste of Makeup…hehehe
When I left the pizza place I immediately dialed Ashley….oh sweet friend how Im sure you will get bored of hearing about this haha
I told her that I think bad dates are for more fun to hear about than good dates
Oh and Tonight I am hanging out with B for the 2nd time. I think we are just getting take out and watching How I met your Mother
Sunday I have a mid afternoon date with R….so I will update on that later….
And Im still emailing with 4 other guys…..
This may be a post that continues for a while…we’ll see how yall like it …..
I really hate dating I do…I am so good in a relationship once you’ve passed the awkward parts…

The first few dates of the relationship are the hardest/most awkward. But I think that you are going about this the right way (by keeping your mind and options opened).

I have to say…you never read blog posts about single ladies anymore. Everyone is in a relationship and all married with a baby. I’m in a relationship too, but I sometimes reminisce about the single days a la Sex and the City and how sometimes, it was pretty fun. You’ll find your forever after! But in the meantime, I’m digging the dating posts! It’s different in this blogging world where everyone is matched up! (pun intended lol)

I think it’s fabulous that you’re not giving too much attention to just one guy. Men are like purses, you have to shop around a bit before finding the perfect one! Have fun and enjoy it girl!
Dating around is perfectly acceptable and can be so, so much fun. How are you ever going to find Mr. Right if you don’t see what’s out there first.
