Another installment of my Favorite Finds…
1. The Newsroom: In my mind Aaron Sorkin can do no wrong. From West Wing to The Social Network he is a brilliant writer! Newsroom does not disappoint. I was so excited for this show before it aired and was counting down the minutes the day of. From the first episode it captured me. I love politics and the news and this show keeps you glued. I love the concept of starting the show 2 years prior to the actual date. You see news stories that we have witnessed happen and how they come about in a Newsroom. I love seeing all of the behind the scenes of a Newsroom stuff as well. Its on HBO on Sunday nights at 9 CST. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t yet.
2. Where We Belong by Emily Giffin: I just adore Emily Giffin. She is hands down the nicest person ever. Yep I met her 2 years ago. We had a great chat over some Mambo Taxi’s at Mi Cocina. YUM. She will be in Dallas in a few weeks for a book signing and of course I preordered her newest book as soon as I could. I devoured this book in 2 days and it was hands down my favorite one since Love the One You’re With. Go get it now!
3. Bobbi Brown Touch Up stick: OMG how did it take me so long to discover this wonder thing. I have 3…One in my purse, one in my desk at work and one in my bathroom at home. The price is reasonable and I imagine it lasts for a while. Perfect for that mid day cover up of that pesky little blemish that pops up out of nowhere!
4. Some Nights by Fun: Just listen to it. You’ll love it too.
5. Jcrew Flats: This is my first pair of Jcrew flats. Not sure why. I guess I have always had a thing for Tory Burch flats and never really moved beyond that. Anyways I have an obsession for polka dots. I just love them. Beyond ruffles I think they are such a fun girlie addition to a wardrobe. So when I saw these Navy and White polka dot Jcrew flats I had to have them. I love the fit, I love the sleekness. I love how they are going to look with leggings and a cute top come fall….just LOVE.
6. The most versatile tank top EVER: So a few months ago I was at Target(of course) and I found this extra long fitted tank top. LOVE. I love long tanks and shirts cause I can wear them with leggings …I hate when leggings are worn as pants! I digress… Anyways, I am about 99% sure this tank is a swimsuit cover up because it was near the swimsuits. I have worn it as a swimsuit cover up, as a workout tank top, I have slept in it and worn it with skinny jeans a cardigan and flats. Yep most versatile tank ever! No I don’t care that I am technically wearing a swimsuit coverup…I have this in 4 colors. Obsessed! Also it runs super huge I actually wear and XS in it.

I agree 100% – leggings are not pants! 🙂 Super cute tank. I have a similar one with red polka dots.
First off, I can NOT stop listening to “Some Nights”, it’s so good! Also, I adore Emily G. I just finished re-reading “Love the One You’re With” and I could barely put it down, even if it was a second reading.
I think I need to go get that book!

I’ve been using that Bobbi Brown stick since 2001 and I LOVE it. Best thing ever. Oh and love that song too. I posted about it several weeks ago for Sunday Social. I loved it from the first time I heard it.
Love Newsroom! Although sometimes I have to go back and listen again to what they say; they speak way too fast for this southern girl!
My fav find lately has been 3/4 length open front cardis @ marshalls…I bought them in 3 colors because they will fit no matter how big the belly gets in the next 5 months!

I have heard so many great things about Emily Griffin, I’ve just never read her book! After seeing this, I’m taking the plunge! It’s the next one up on my list!!

The flats and tank are my favorites. I have a long black shirt my mom got me at Target that I love. I haven’t had lots of opportunities to wear it, but I definitely love it.

I need the flats but maybe in another color as I’m not a navy girl – makes me look like a corpse. I will put the book on my wish list to read as I usually enjoy her books, too. And, I love Newsroom! I’m currently loving The Glee Project, Mary Tyler Moore reruns (seriously), and the Andy Cohen book.
I can’t wait to read Where We Belong. I just love Emily G!!

My current favorite tank is from the pj section at Target, I bought it in white, black, and blue, it is comfy and according to my husband makes my boobs look good which is a compliment I will not complain about!
Where We Belong was such an awesome book and it’s one of my favorite’s by EG! Now I’m ready for her next one!
