I feel like a very unique thing about blogging is you get the opportunity to try new products and review fun things. I feel beyond blessed for the things I have been given, the opportunities and the material items I now have because 2.5 years ago I got bored on a Sunday and started a blog.
This blog means everything to me. My blood sweat and tears go into it and some days I feel like it holds me together and grounded. 90% of the people I call my best friends are people I have met through blogging.
I digress…
Recently upon returning from my fabulous trip to New York (which I promise I will blog about) I came home to 4 boxes full of things for me to review.
Seriously how fun is it to come home to a package of stuff without worrying about the credit card bill?
Here are the products and my HONEST opinions of them.
1. ghd paddle brush, comb, and straight and smooth spray for thick hair. This was probably something I was far too excited to receive! The brush first of all is the most amazing brush I have ever used and with that price tag it better be 😉 It is so soft on my very very thick hair. It doesn’t pull or snag which is a huge plus! I also received the de tangle comb which I love. I brush through my hair with it post shower and post spray. I also use it when flat ironing my hair and its been amazing. This is not the kind of comb that will break easy or have parts come off. I also really really love the smell of the spray and how much I feel its protecting my hair. I see a huge difference after a week of use. I would absolutely recommend all 3 of these products. I will be buying the spray after this one runs out and if I ever need a new brush or comb…Im going to ghd.
2. Rembrant and Reach products: I was contacted by the PR company that represents Rembrant and Reach to try out their new collaboration of designer inspired tooth brushes, dissolving white strips and 2 different kinds of tooth paste. I love the toothbrushes to death OMG so freaking cute! I will probably always buy them because I like how fancy they look 🙂 I have used the dissolving strips a few times and I like them OK Im just bad about keeping up with it. The toothpaste is my new fav FOR SURE! I like the taste and fresh it makes me feel…YAY!
3. The lovely people at Lifeguard Press gave me an opportunity to pick a few items from their website. Now I must tell you I am not a huge Lilly Pulitzer person. I mean I think their solid color clothes are cute but floral just isn’t my thing. BUT I found an adorable ink pen that I loved mainly because of the blue and green combo and a Jonathan Adler notebook which I thought was cute, perfect size to fit in my daily totes and perfect for writing down lists, blog ideas and random things I always say “crap I don’t have paper” for. I have since been perusing their website(YOU MUST CHECK IT OUT!) because holy crap do they have some cute stuff. My wish list is a mile long. I may(hint hint) need one of their fabulous planners for the fall. I will say this has definitely changed my feeling on floral and I really really love having this adorable pen and notebook to carry around. They are perfection. Also the people at Lifeguard Press are great to work with and super sweet!

4. I got a fun Klout Perk!!! This night cream is amazing. I started using it and for my ultra sensitive skin I haven’t had any issues. My skin feels soft and because Im swimming laps a lot thats a big deal. Swimming kills your skin(freakin chlorine). I love this stuff! If you got the Klout perk do you like it too???

I NEED those toothbrushes in my life IMMEDIATELY! I will be on the hunt for them this week. I’m in love with that notebook too – I’ve been looking for something just like that, because I’m a huge list person and I can never find paper when I need it. Writing a list on a cell phone just is not the same as paper. I’m an old fasioned kind of gal 😉
