It Starts With Coffee

I’m Bethany and you can usually find me sharing my randoms, tips, tricks and mom wins/fails over at In This Crazy Life.

However today is different.

Today, I don’t get to wake up at the proverbial butt crack of dawn to traipse off to a suburban high school where I spend my days teaching science to a bunch of teenagers then come home to chase the two year old man child.

No, no, no. Today I get to wake up as Neely.

But hmm…what to do? I mean when you think about getting the chance to wake up as someone else and spend a whole day as them, you immediately go for the fabulous, right? I mean no one dreams of waking up and spending the day as a tax accountant, garbage man or telemarketer- you want to get straight to the good stuff and skip the boring.

So first things first- I have to have a latte in the cutest mug ever.

Then once the caffeine hits and I can coherently see, I’m diving straight into that makeup collection. Come find me in a few hours, kay?

After amusing myself and making myself pretty in the collection that I can only dream rivals anything you see at the counters at the mall, I will decide to skip the workout. Because I didn’t just spend all that time getting all cute to go sweat it off at the gym. That’s just crazy talk.

No, today my workout will take place at the mall. I’ve also decided that as Neely I’m taking the day “off”, because she works damn hard and needs a break every now and then. Of course we all know for her all that means is getting out of the yoga pants and checking up on things in between errands.

First on the list of must do’s for the day includes a good  mani/pedi with a neck massage, followed by a little shoe and bag shopping.  After grabbing a quick bite with a friend, I think Ill head over to get some things for my amazing new office- which in my head should look something like this.

After all that shopping, I’m going to need a little pick me up in the form of a white paper cup so Ill head on over to Starbucks.  While I’m supposed to be relaxing, Ill probably check in with a few clients and sneak in a little work while I’m there. Then, because I’m running the show and I can do what I want, I’m going to make A get off of work early so we can get on a plane and head off to Chicago for a totally awesome date night/weekend a ‘la Giuliana and Bill that includes awesome food, nightlife and even some really bad reality tv.

In my eyes, that sounds like a damn good day. Esp if I can get the makeup in a goodie bag to go?!
