One of my favorite things about a Sunday (especially when we have no plans) is to do a little Sunday self-care reset. I usually do this when my kids are having rest time but a lot of it is just throughout the day. There truly is nothing quite like starting the week on a high note.
Sunday Self-Care Reset
Clean Your Space: Sunday is such a great day to reset and clean everything. We have a cleaner who comes Friday but by Sunday the house could use a little reset just from the weekend. Putting away bags we had out to go places like the pool or friend’s houses. Put away random stuff that’s collected on our dining table or bench area. Straighten up the kid’s rooms, playroom, and bathroom so it’s ready for the week. I also like to clean out my purse, and my car on Sundays.
Mask Your Face: I do masks throughout the week but Sunday is my big mask day. I usually do the exfoliating cleanser from Tata Harper. Then I mask with either the Tata Harper resurfacing mask or the Caudalie pore-reducing mask. Then I do Pixi under eye masks and my ice roller.
Sweat it out: I love a good workout on a Sunday. If I do a group fitness class it’s usually some sort of Barre or Pilates Sunday mornings. I also love to do a really long Peloton ride or a really long walk.
Do the little things: I get the kid’s clothes completely ready for the week on Sundays. I use these in their closets to keep their daily outfits organized for the week. I include everything from underwear to socks, bows, etc. I make their lunches for the next day and we also cut up tons of produce, and prep hard-boiled eggs, muffins, etc for the week. Making sure all the laundry is done and folded and put away is also key.
I know a lot of these aren’t what everyone would deem self-care but for me having these things done take a lot of stress and anxiety away so it’s definitely self-care in my book!
What do you do for a Sunday self-care reset?
Sometimes just being in a clean, uncluttered environment and feeling healthy is the best Self-care.
Excellent advice!
Yesss I love Sundays for a good reset! I take a nap and cook for the week. It has been such a game changer to mass produce food and nobody bothers me about what to eat! LOL

We also have a rule that the house needs to be clean on Sundays before we start the week. My boys eat lunch at school, otherwise, I would prep their lunches, too. I do prep mine if I know I am going to be sub-teaching a lot that week.
I used sunday’s to relax and recover, work on my hobbies, watch a good movie, and read a book. A whole book.
It’s great to squeeze a workout in. I try to do mine on weekday mornings.
Love a lazy Sunday day where I can focus on me. The mask idea sounds great. I need to work that into my weekend to do list.
I love the idea of a Sunday self-care reset. A long Peloton ride followed with a face mask after sounds perfect!
I need to start doing this on my off days! A quick reset and detox to prepare for the week. Time to stock up on some masks and scrubs
I love working out on sundays too! Its refreshing and i love to take a good warm bath after.
I love reset sundays! I like to clean my spance and plan for the wekk.
Self-care is wonderful. As you’ve noted, it differs from person to person, yet anything that alleviates stress and provides a revitalizing start is positive. I too do utilize my Sundays for a reset and restart. I got to say, I find it to be quite effective.
Sunday is a great day to recoup and work on some self care. I am headed back to work soon and trying to do some things that make me happy!
Hhhhmmm….Sundays are for doing the smallest things like washing my clothes, ironing, writing some poetry, doing the dishes etc….
I love doing these things. Specially, cleaning because it makes me feel so much better. Although, it’s not so much mess.
