Before I let Miss Carly take over my blog for the day I have to tell you she is one of my fav daily reads, the cutest thing ever and a blog you MUST follow….
Hi y’all! I’m Carly — firefighter wife, 7th grade teacher turned stay at home momma to my son, Gunner, blogger behind Texas Lovebirds, and a full blown Dr. Pepper addict. In my space you can find me writing about motherhood, style, and a really big tattoo that I just got. You should know that I like to live my life on the fast track. That statement is probably a little deceiving and makes me sound way cooler than I am; what I mean by “fast track” is that I was engaged at 19, married at 20, and a momma by 23. Yep, that kind of fast track.
After having a baby, I found myself struggling to get out of yoga pants and tshirts. I felt better about myself when I got up and got dressed, but some days it’s just hard to find the motivation. So, I created a little accountability for myself through a weekly fashion/style link up that my friend and I host on our blogs.
The link up is called COPYCAT (or Copycat Linkup) and is all about finding inspiration from anything — Pinterest, a magazine, an advertisement, your favorite fashion blogger, ANYTHING — and translating that inspiration into your own style, using pieces from your own closet. It’s super simple and it’s been a lot of fun to see what looks I can create from my own closet!
