Today for Katie’s Thoughtless Thursday I dont have a picture to post because I didnt snap one but here is a little cartoon of my 2nd wreck in 5 days! Yes I got into another wreck today…
I had to go to the SMU bookstore on my day off from grad school classes to exchange a book and I wanted to get a t-shirt! So Im leaving the bookstore super excited to go meet up with my 4 month preggers bestie and go maternity clothes shopping with her and have lunch and I get in my car and back out and Im driving out of the parking lot when SMACK! A 17 year old freshmen in college backed right into me! Yes completely her fault as I had the right of way….dumbass.
First of all I was in my rental car as I got in a wreck on Friday so I was so freaked out because Ummm hello its a rental car and not MY car. So after I calmly called the police I called my daddy who assured me that since its her fault her insurance will pay for the damage. The rental car is nearly totalled. She hit it hard. She was crying I was shaking because I was like “Ummm 2 wrecks in 5 days WTF!?!?!” Dad sent his assistant to pick me up and bring me to his car dealership where luckily MY car had just gotten finished being fixed. So thankfully I have a car to drive. Thankfully no one was hurt(aside from my mentally stability and love of driving). I feel bad for the girl cause I was 17 once and a horrible driver plus its like her 3rd day of college and who wants to have a wreck on your 3rd day of college. I assured her college will get better and I tried to call her down. Which I think was really nice because SHE HIT ME!!!!!!!!!!!
So after we exchanged info and the police left and I was at my dads dealership I felt a little better. I was so sad I had to reschedule time with Michele and even sadder that I didnt get to tell Chad what happened for 3 hours because he was in class. I still managed to come home and study and do my assignments for tomorrow.
Lesson learned….it is completely possible to have 2 wrecks in one week! Be careful out there!!!
Oh dumb girl.. .but I feel sorry for her, I can’t imagine how frazzled I would be if I totaled someone’s car in my first week of college!
Yuck! You poor thing! At least it wasn’t your fault and it all ended up working out ok….silver lining, right?
My college campus is NUTS right now. They had to send out an email to all the staff reminding us to NOT hit the students in the crosswalks. Yikes!
Oh no!!! That’s not good! I do feel bad for her, but she needs to be watching the road more closely! Glad y’all are alright!!
UGH! How frustrating for you! If I were you I would make Chad drive all the time now.

Oooh gosh that’s awful, at least it wasn’t your fault and everyone is okay.
I have been rear ended 2 times while sitting at a red light. Both times I got out of the car to see if the person who hit me was okay. Both times the car that hit me was crushed and the airbags were deployed while my car had a little dent. I must be driving a tank! I am thankful for that tailgate on the back of my car. It takes out anything that touches it!
I am glad you are okay and it was not your fault. Hopefully the rental car company can take care of eveything from here on out.

Crazy! The same thing happened to my hubs he had a fender bender where a lady hit him then while in the rental car a guy ran a red light and totaled the rental! Not fun!!
