Transition To Fall

Some of us are excited for fall (me) and other people are holding onto every last ounce of summer (my husband). Either way, the transition to fall is coming and if you live north of Texas odds are it’s coming sooner for you! I have the key ingredients for transition to fall time that I think will make this summer to fall switch a lot easier.

3 Ways To Transition To Fall

Skin: Anytime the seasons change I feel like my skin revolts. Anyone else? I feel like especially my skin post-shower is really weird. Shaving always makes my VERY sensitive skin feel a little dry. I have been using the Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer right after my shower for a few months now. I use it in the shower right when I’m done. Water off, Jergens on. I keep it in my shower right next to my body wash and shampoo for easy access. In the few months I have been using it I have noticed how much softer my skin feels. It is specially formulated to work with water. It instantly absorbs on wet skin to take advantage of skin’s peak moisture moment (the time when skin is most receptive to moisture). It absorbs two times faster for 24-hour soft skin. Not only does it make your skin feel great but the smell is amazing! It also feels really good to the touch. Some products feel greasy and this does not! This combined with other things I am doing for my skin really helps when the temps change. I foresee this being a part of my shower routine for a long time to come!

Food: Something about fall makes me want to shy away from salads and fall in love with my slow-cooker again. I have an entire post coming soon about my favorite slow cooker recipes, but the idea of making stews, chilis, soups, and pot roast just scream fall. Even thinking about them get me excited and reading to transition to fall. Let’s not forget fall drinks, like hot chocolate, apple cider, and pumpkin flavored goodness! It’s also my favorite time to bake things like pumpkin bread, banana bread, and cookies!

Home: Nothing makes you want to transition to fall quite like burning those pumpkin candles and adding all those fall decor items back in. We actually decorated for fall last weekend and it has put me in the best mood! If it’s getting cooler and you are feeling the post summer blues, I really think adding some pumpkins and fall things to your home will perk you up! Try having a cup of hot chocolate too!

I would love to hear how you transition to fall? Do you use certain products? Do you change your routine? Do tell!

I’m sharing #Jergens in my life as part of a Jergens sponsored series for Socialstars™

I love fall so so so much! Can’t wait. We’re still stuck in summer here, but according to the (unreliable) forecast fall should start showing up next week! That moisturizer sounds fantastic, too. I saw an Austrian brand of wet skin moisturizer the other day and allllmost got it — now I think I will!

I have never tried the Jergens wet skin moisturizer but I have tried other brands and I really liked the way they work. I cant wait to try this brand. My skin becomes more dry as the weather gets colder and I don’t like to have to put lotion on and then my clothes over top of it so the wet skin moisturizer is really and ideal match for that.
