Two years ago Chad and I were both at jobs we hated.
We were not satisfied in our careers and we knew we had to make changes.
First it started with Chad taking the GMAT and me taking the GRE
Then it involved lots of applications, reference letters, and hoping.
We both got into the grad schools we wanted and that was a big deal in itself.
16 months of hard work, grueling studying, internships, student teaching etc and we were done.
Then came 4 months of Chad with no job and spending day after day searching and interviewing and me with 5 part time jobs hating every second of not having a teaching job.
Mid March Chad got his dream job. It was such an exciting day and I was so beyond thrilled for him. He most def deserved it.
I was happy for him but I was sad that I still hadn’t found a teaching job.
Then a few weeks ago I got an interview date, I planned a model lesson, perfected my portfolio and as of last Thursday Chad and I both have our dream jobs.
Mine is at a Charter School in Dallas near downtown.
I seriously feel beyond blessed.
Here we are two years later with our dream jobs.
I know for certain we could not have gotten this far without the love and support we have given to each other. Also without the constant support of our friends and families. I have gotten support from you…the blogging community. I feel like those who don’t blog don’t “Get” the kind of support you can receive from a community of women trying to make their dreams come true.
Thank you.
Its amazing what a difference 2 years makes.
What has changed for you in the past 2 years?
