Daily Skin Care Routine

I talked a bit last week about how my skin reacts to the cooler months when I shared my winter survival kit. It gets dry and itchy and a little difficult to manage. My face can be very similar in the winter months, so today I am sharing my daily skin care routine, and how I combat skin issue as we change seasons.

  1. I start out with Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel NEW Daily Refreshingly Clean Cleansing Cloths. I use these to take off my eye makeup and also remove any dirt and oil from my face before I wash it. I am obsessed with these. Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel is gentle enough to use daily to help remove excess dirt, oil, and makeup, even on sensitive skin, as it won’t strip skin of essential moisture.  Additionally, its toning properties will help minimize the appearance of pores, eliminate oil & shine and nourish even flaky, dull skin. It’s soap and fragrance-free and doesn’t leave sticky residue. All pluses in my opinion! Dickinsons-Original-Witch-Hazel-2 Dickinsons-Original-Witch-Hazel-1
  2. Next, I wash my face with Neutrogena Foaming Face Wash. For someone with sensitive skin, this is a godsend. My dermatologist actually told me to use it a few years ago when my skin was having some issues. Since then I have been loyal and use this twice a day (sometimes more).
  3. After my face is all fresh and clean, I use the Neutrogena Hydro Boost to moisturize. I got a sample of this in a Target Beauty Box earlier this year, and since have been a huge fan. It’s very moisturizing and cooling. It feels amazing on my skin. I love the way it also helps prep my face for makeup, if it’s a makeup day for me. Which honestly, most days are not.
  4. Lastly, I use the First Aid Beauty detox eye roller under my eyes to cool and repair my dark circles and redness.
  5. I use the Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel On-The-Go Refreshingly Clean Towelettes daily as well. However, these I use throughout the day to refresh my face. I use them a lot post workout (perfect for the gym bag) and some times if my face just needs a boost. The gentle spun lace cloth helps extract trapped dirt & oils, tones, and refreshes skin leaving no sticky residue behind. The small size is convenient to travel with and bring anywhere – the home, office, beach, sporting events and gym. I am telling you, just keep some in your purse or car. They are perfect!

I don’t do anything crazy with my skin, but these steps twice a day have really kept my skin from getting too dry, red, or problematic.

I’m obsessed with wipes of any kind, so I must give these a try. Are they OK to use on the skin around your eyes? That’s my most sensitive area.

Neutrogena is hands down the best drugstore skincare line! I have gone to a more natural skincare line that is sold in Whole Foods. I use derma e products. They are amazing!
