Cold Weather Workout Gear

It’s cooling down in Dallas, meaning the temps are dipping into the 40’s for lows this weekend, and it’s time to bust out my cold weather workout gear. I know when it cools down the idea of getting out of the house to go to the gym can be daunting. I mean it’s warm and cozy inside, right? But sometimes dressing in cute, cozy cold weather workout gear can make all the difference in your workout motivation.

  1. These Lululemon Vinyasa scarves are my favorite for the cooler months. Even in warm months I’ve used them on flights as blankets! They are extremely versatile and very reasonably priced for being Lululemon.
  2. These headbands from The North Face were a major impulse buy a while back, but they are the best headbands I have ever used for workouts. They do not pull at my hair and they stay on really well. Also they are day glow so there’s that. Plus, the bright colors make gloomy winter months more fun.
  3. For the longest time I thought the expense of Lululemon socks was insane. Then I bought a pair. Guys these are the greatest socks for working out and running. I used to buy only Thorlo socks and I am a Lululemon convert! The socks are amazing and so comfortable! They are also super thick, which in the colder months is a huge bonus.
  4. The Alo Goddess Bra is my absolute favorite sports bra. It is extremely comfortable and cute. It goes great with any workout top and really gives a lot of support. I am also a huge fan of the Champion sports bras from Target.
  5. As far as workout tops go, I really love the Lululemon cool racerback tops for everyday workouts. They are great to layer under long sleeves in the cooler months because they are pretty form fitting. I also love open back long sleeves to wear over the tanks. They are perfect to and from the gym or barre classes. They are also great transitional pieces. When it gets cooler I am obsessed with the Lululemon define jackets. They are form fitting and VERY warm! These jackets by Champion from Target are also extremely comfortable, cute, and warm!
  6. As far as bottoms go, my two go to bottoms for cooler weather are Lululemon high times pants and Alo goddess leggings. Both are extremely cute and really flattering. I actually wear the Lululemon ones with sweaters and flats on a pretty regular basis when I am not working out!

I also really love wearing long sleeve t-shirts and puffer vests over workout tops when it gets colder out for a more casual look. I practically live in workout gear since I work from home so I like to be cute, comfortable, and stylish as much as possible!

  1. I have a n Athleta long-sleeved cover-up that I got second-hand from a friend, and I love it. It looks great over workout clothes and transitions well into casual hang-out wear. It looks very put-together. Love.

  3. Love these ideas. I have a shirt from Kohls I think that has thumb holes at the end of the sleeve so it stays down when I’m walking/jogging. Love that.

I’m ALWAYS lazy about working out, but the cold makes me extra lazy. To be honest I don’t have workout clothes per se, but I hate sweating into clothes I know are going to take a while to dry after I wash them. If I went to a gym, I might make more of an effort! Otherwise I work out in small spurts along the course of the day, and dance a bit before bed as I change into my pajamas. 😉

I adore workout clothes and would pretty much exclusively wear them (they’re so darn comfy) if society (e.g. my future career) wouldn’t frown upon that! I like that grey top!

I love shopping for workout gear now that I’m working out at the gym all the time. I really love the Champion stuff from Target too. I’ve never tried Lululemon because of the price, but I may have to at least check out their site.
